I was prompted to look up Dave Bennett by a friend who had the opportunity to listen to Dave live in Loveland, CO 04/30/2017. My ears are so pleased to hear his wonderful talent !!! Awesome!

This recalls Pete Fountain more than Goodman, with the glass mouthpiece and the way he does an octave on the first note of the melody.

Ron Hockett is no slouch when it comes to playing the clarinet. He's just as good as Dave Bennett.

Allen Miller Better in my opinion.Ron has more of the warmth and beauty of Peanuts Hucko’s Stylish clarinet playing.Dave is also a fine clarinet player albeit with a heavy Goodman flavour.

This sounds far more technically difficult than it actually is. Of course, it's a very good solo, true, albeit intensely borrowing from Goodman. I prefer the other clarinetist. He has more of an own style.
