I agree. They definitely become brittle with age/heat. Was just surprised to see it on a low mileage car. My TBSS has 3x the miles (same year) and they’re all intact. No big deal though. Already ordered a bunch of parts for it anyway! Thanks for your input!

Wouldnt even consider a car with no title. If its clean, paid off and not stolen, have the owner get a duplicate.

@@kova_motive I ended up passing on the car. So let me tell you how it went down when I met up with the seller. Let me start off by saying he was 2 hours away from me. So we texted back and forth, he offered to bring it to me I was like hmm strange my response was I’d rather go see it at your house because what if i don’t buy it. He’s like it’s okay I’m going to show it to someone else in your area (I was like yea right, but come on down then) he came, I saw the car, I couldn’t find a single vin besides the one on the dash by the windshield. I inspected it and everything was as described BUT NO TITLE!! I was like crap should I risk it. Now, we had agreed on 9,500 over the phone, once he came and he saw me still feeling iffy about it he’s like take it for 8 I was like what the hell. I’m like idk man It looks good but I could possibly be losing 8k on a heart beat. He then lowered it to 7k, then 6k I’m like let me talk to dad and a dealer friend who can investigate more about this car and if everything checks out I’ll take it but he’s like I’m going to show it to the other guy I was like well man if he buys it good for you guys. 1 day went buy then it was marked sold, 2 weeks after it was posted 8 hours south of him for $17k. I messaged the seller and this time it was someone different, he told me he went hunting for the previous owner and got the title issued. 1 month went by then it was posted for a 3rd time somewhere else for $10k

No, this car has been through a few owners originally. Tried tracking down service history with Chevy but they dont have records for customer pay jobs. Who knows when/where the motor was replaced. Its been a car full of secrets for sure!
