4 жыл бұрынHi guys! On my way home from Scotland to Seoul, I had a 19 hour layover in Helsinki. I've always wanted to visit Finland so I thought I'd get a tiny taste of it before I plan a proper trip back someday. I was amazed at how much I could get done in Helsinki!!

Olsie Asum yes i always try to carry on only :) during my trip in scotland the places we stayed had laundry machines so i was able to pack light and just wash my clothes!!

If you want to see beautiful and colourful nature then i suggest that you go late september to the norther part of Finland.

You came in Helsinki just the right time. After that day it has been raining literally everyday. Typical finnish autumn weather but you avoided it :D Next time if you come, visit autumn or winter time in Lapland for couple days, it's totally different in the north!

Actually Helsinki university has several campuses. You saw the linguistic and humanistic faculty 😃

@@caricakes There are actually many other faculties at the central campus as well, for example law and social sciences (which are not humanistic ;). Faculties like medicine and natural sciences are located a bit farther from the center.

I was thinking the same thing! :D I noticed that you were more like us calm finns! Sometimes people from other countries are so loud (in wrong places / wrong times) and they don't even seem to notice it or pay any attention to their surroundings. You seemed very respective and cool ❤

This was lovely! I've lived in the "metropolitan area" of Finland (if you can even call it that) my whole life so I'm very familiar with the downtown area, but somehow you made it all feel fresh and new. It was so refreshing seeing something you know so well through the eyes of someone who's never seen it before. I loved watching you explore Helsinki and I'm so glad you liked it ❤️

Awww, this vlog is so warm and cozy ☺️ itching to visit Helsinki now! I would also like a video on how you plan for the trips, decide on which sights to see etc. And just in general how you plan your content (even the simple vlogs) and sticking to the plan! I tend to plan out my weekends month ahead but then I see a new cool cafe on Insta and suddenly all my planning seems so outdated, like you know “so last season” . I end up in scrapping everything and starting anew, which isn’t very efficient. Impart some planning wisdom on us, mortals, Cari! 🙏🏻😀

ohhhh i loved this! i loved your scotland videos too, i spent all last week mentally planning a trip thanks to you :-P but there was something really lovely about this one...maybe just the way it was a little bit of stolen time out of the trip home. the light and the architecture and the food and the libraries...you just made it all look wonderful. that feeling you mentioned, the cozy wanting to read a book one, totally came through in the video.

You did a really good job making the best of the little time you had! The library visits were a nice idea, as Finns tend to appreciate their libraries, and use them a lot. 😊 Also, the salmon soup is well worth trying, glad you got to it, it's quite delicius. If you come to Finland again, I recommend June or August - June (before midsummer) is probably the best time. July in Helsinki (and June after midsummer) is.... quiet. People are on their summer holidays, and tend to be somewhere else than Helsinki. July is great in that pepople have been waiting for the summer, and are happy with the warm weather, and the long days. The cafes and bars have terrases open outside, and the nature is at it's most beautiful.

Silent chapel! Wow! What a large 🙏🏻 room! Amazing city to add to my bucket list! I totally understand wanting to be student there. I noticed the comfortable chairs that face a breathtaking view.
