I was not expecting to tell you that I had another seizure so soon. 7 months after having surgery to remove my brain tumour I had a seizure.
I'm now going to start new anti-seizure medication and hopefully get booked in for my MRI soon 😊
This is my first health update in a few weeks so I just wanted to keep you in the loop 💛

You should also think about getting a medical alert bracelet.

My tumor was also on my temporal lobe so most of my seizures were partial seizures. My brain surgery was 9 years ago. Keppra made me angry/tired all the time. I've tried Dilantin, gabapentin, Lyrica, Klonopin, Ativan and Oxcarbazepine. Most of them didn't work or gave me bad side effects I switched to lamotrigine which was much better but I still had seizures like every 4 months. They put me on Briviact (which is similar to keppra but without the side effects) and since then, I've been seizure free for almost 2 years. Hope that helps. AND I've been cancer free for 9 years🙂

Oh my goodness Éireann, don’t apologize about posting lovely videos of you enjoying your beautiful Ireland life 🥰🥰 I’m always curious about how you are doing but you don’t owe us that at all. I hope they get your medical records sorted and get you on a medication that doesn’t have too many side effects. Thank you for spreading positivity, the world needs that 💜💜

Don't know if you'll see this, but regarding your trip to Germany: I live in Germany and I understand that you feel nervous about traveling to another country, especially one with a language that you may not speak. But I want to encourage you to take that trip anyway. You'll definitely be taken care of in case you'll need any medical care. Doctors all speak English, so you'll be able to communicate. In fact most Germans speak at least a little English, a lot of them even decently. If you have any questions that I might be able to help you with, let me know!

Eireanne you post when you see fit. Living your life is top priority and getting your health care sorted out. Everyone else will just have to work on their patience and acceptance. Which isn’t a bad thing for anyone to work on themselves. My granddaughter is a glioblastoma survivor at 11 yrs. Why she survives, only God knows. Everyday is a gift we her family get to love on her and share in her life. Do all you are able holidays, meals out with you Dad, enjoy your we bun, live in the moment. We here, me and my granddaughter, get it where you are coming from. Bless you young lady and Peace be with you. 🥰🙏🏻 live.

I've been on Lamotrigine and had no side effects, hoping for the same for you! By the way, if you're nervous about the travel, consider booking special assistance at the airport. It's not just for the elderly or broken legs; if you think the cognitive overload of queuing/figuring out where you need to be will be overwhelming for you, definitely go for it. You could always cancel it last minute if you feel confident. Glad to see the bunny is doing so well!

Try never stop advocating for yourself. No matter how frustrating the system is. Also the same with family and friends. Never stop advocating. Good luck.

Hi, Éireann! It's always nice to hear from you. Remain positive and try to relax. If you can, do some meditating, yoga and just concentrate on yourself. It's no wonder things are difficult right now. Changing medication and all the medical issues with records and appointments and schedules - I'd be crazy over all of that, too. It sounds like your life is in the blender. Don't worry. It will all work out in time.

Psychedelics are just an exceptional mental health breakthrough. It's quite fascinating how effective they are against depression and anxiety. Saved my life.

Hi Eireann, Ontario Canada here. I'm sorry to hear you had another seizure hopefully the new tablets work great and the transition isn't too bad. I wanted to mention that you might want to be extra careful if you like to take baths since having a seizure while in the bath can be very dangerous. I don't want anything bad to happen to you so I thought I'd mention it. I'm so glad you're home and around your family as that can bring so much joy and comfort. Sending you all my love and wishing you brighter days and positive outcomes and results. XO
