I’d call that a solid 8-9! I cut my husband’s hair with his beard trimmer but only the sides 😂 we’ll see when the desperation sets in and I need to cut the top.

You two are lots of fun and adorable. Not bad, as a professional my end grade would be a 7, the visible line needed like a 1 1/2 to fade it out. Wherever you create a line, you find the middle to fade it out. One around his perimeter, 2 around his temples, you’d use a one shifting lever open to create the 1 1/2, and work the line out softly in the 1/2 inch area of the line, then it’s gone. Free hand cutting was hilarious, always use a comb. Pull the hair 90 degrees to sides the cut desired amount off, keeping fingers perpendicular to the section your cutting. Lift top 1/2 inch section over directing first bang area back two inches to preserve length, cut 1/2 inch off then comb that into the next section and you should see the first line cut and you drag your initial guide cut to each section continuing to the back of head, repeat on sides cutting at 90 degrees. Thanks for the laughs.
