I have a 07 jeep Commander with the same motor the sissy 3.7 well my water pump started to leak so I changed it with a water pump from AutoZone. I installed the new water pump and my jeep kept running a little warm before the new water pump it always ran quarter way up never ever got half way up on the temp gauge so I changed the thermostat still the temp kept going up mainly sitting at red light I couldn't figure out why! I changed the thermostat I changed the water pump so I figured I'll exchange this new water pump maybe it's faulty had to be well GOD HONEST TRUTH I TOOK THE BRAND NEW WATER PUMP DROM AUTOZONE OFF AND I shit u not u could HOLD THE IMPELLER THAT PUMPS THE WATER AND TURN THE PULLEY BY HAND WHILE THE IMPELLER SIT STILL SO THAT WAS MY PROBLEM UNDER PRESSUER THE BELT WAS SPINNING THE PULLEY ON THE OUTSIDE VUT THE IMPELLER ON THE INSIDE WASNT TURNING I no weired right ?;?!?? Ernest have you ever had that problem?
