Such a good video! So inspirational for many I'm sure, especially us folks that have tiny kitchens that are not lit well... so this setup can easily be placed anywhere that we have a natural light source (a glass door in the living room, a window at the bedroom etc...) Hey Philip, shout from Brazil. Im currently working my way through my ideas for a ytb cooking channel. Giving up my actual carreer of architect to do what I'm passionate about, cooking. It's been scary to take this leap of faith. Your channel has helped me in so many ways man, this video in particular is an inspiration. Maybe from my architect point of view, but I feel that people always make an excuse to not start things. And this proves that the only thing thats keeping you from starting is your own mind and insecurities. I was thinking about spending lots of money, specially here in Brazil, where our money is worth nothing (and most of the products we buy come from a dollar basis pricing). But this video gave me the confidence to just start, with what I have in my hands (my Iphone). Thanks man, keep up the good work your doing, it's helping more than you can think of!!

I made a fake one and love it (You can see it on our live shows) but have yet to get it to work for cooking videos. I have been studying your videos to see if I can get it to work! We even bought this property and have a huge 1500 sq. ft. shop with water and sewer! It's the lighting I feel like I can't get right. I need you to come and just show me what I'm doing wrong! ( a collab opportunity if you ever want one! LOL :-) HAVE MERCY!!! I feel so much better seeing your mess-ups! I just want to get in, cook the food and move on. When stuff like that happens I get so irritated and just want to quit!

I literally just picked up the same stick-on tiles yesterday. Good to see you using them. And even more so, to see things don't always work out right for you too (and at the worst time too - when filming right? 😩). I felt your pain! I can't do any filming/photos in my kitchen, it is so bad and too tiny. My dining room table it is, and I have a set of 2 boards that attach, for a base and background. White is good for reflecting light, but I don't want my pics to look like they were taken in a light box. So had idea for hanging things from it, and blurring in the background. But then also the idea of these tiles to look like a kitchen backdrop. Thanks for your videos and your FB group too.

I have always loved your content and felt like you were a creator I related with. But in this one, during the coffee machine meltdown moments, I KNEW you were my people and this was my kinda place! This video is just what I needed!!! I hate my kitchen. After a direct hit from hurricane Ian, remodeling the kitchen was on the bottom of the list of things to do. I love to cook and want to shoot cooking videos. My family and friends call for cooking advice: what to make, how to make it. I started a recipe book to share with them, but thought videos would be better and a lot more fun. Your videos are amazing. I appreciate you! Mahalo

That’s a great idea. You can put the same peel and stick backsplash in your kitchen, paint the cabinets white and replace that Ben fan with a new white one or a microwave and you’ll be good to go.

What would you recommend for equipment with a $750- $1000 budget for recording and uploading cooking videos on KZfaq Instagram and TikTok. If I’m going to be using my IPhone 14 as my camera.

Id recommend a computer for editing. Like a M1 Macbook Pro. You can get lights, audio, and a tripod for like $150 total.

I know how hard it is when you did a mistake while cooking at the same time filming, not only once but a lot HAHAHA but it seems I enjoy the process even I do mistakes, besides in the end if you're done filming, you can finally fell success HAHAHA Me: "Finally, I'm done!" That's why when we film, we should prepare an extra ingredients in case there will something happened HAHAHA
