hidden camera in the bedroom ( I believe is illegal she was being filmed indecent without her consent). he punched holes in the walls out of anger( she would be next) then blamed her for it( refused to take responsibility and tried to make her look bad) add the whole tracking thing. the husband is an abuser.

Here's the question she should be asking... If he thinks she's cowardly, oversensitive, stupid, etc... Why is he willing to work so hard to get her back in his clutches? If he thinks so little of her, why fight the divorce? If he's so great, and she's so not, then he could easily get another wife, right? Right? So why is he so mad, and why is he so determined not to let her go?

My thoughts exactly. There's a reason he is refusing to let her go peacefully, and it has nothing to do with love, care or compassion. Quite the opposite: it is because he is a sociopath or psychopath and his ego simply cannot accept that she left him, that she is in control right now, that she bested him. He is furious. He might not have been physically abusive yet, but eventually he almost guaranteed would have turned to physical violence. OP leaving him while he was gone was the perfect opportunity. Had she tried to do it while he was at home chances are that's when he would take the leap from mental abuse to physical abuse.

Op, stay strong, you know in your heart, that had you tried to escape while he was around that it would have turned out very bad for you. What he was doing to you was wrong on so many levels. Thanks to your grandmother and her wisdom that you are safe. Do Not, have any one on one contact with Ex or his family. That's what they are trying to get you to do, it's all about control, don't give them any. And it would be best if you dropped the friends, that's your old life. Stay safe and I know Grandma is so proud of you ❤❤

One day, one of "their friends" who defended him to OP will look her up. To apologize for not believing OP. For defending her ex. They will tell OP what all he did/had done to his present/divorcing wife. Hopefully when that time comes, OP will be in a happy relationship. Be living the life she wants.
