Steven and his best friend, Grace, go to her family’s bed and breakfast for the week
leading up to New Year’s, as she didn’t want her widowed father to be alone for the holiday. And Having just broken up with his boyfriend of three years, Steven feels like it would be a good time to recharge and rethink his life.
Everyone is having a great time the first night, when Steven gets up to go to the bathroom and bumps into David, Grace’s dad. They both notice that they’re under the mistletoe that David forgot to take down after Christmas, and since they were both tipsy, they jokingly share a kiss then go their separate ways.
Later that night,they happen to find themselves under the mistletoe again. This time, they kiss, but their lips linger before pressing harder. They break apart, and shakily say goodnight before heading to their separate rooms.
The next day, Steven and David keep stealing glances at each other, locking eyes and looking away before anyone else notices. That night, Steven is about to head to bed when he notices David standing under the mistletoe, trying to be as nonchalant as possible. Steven walks past him, but not before making meaningful eye contact. David takes the hint and follows him up to his room.Steven and David go up to his room, but before they can go in, Grace follows them up the stairs and sees them making out. She yells and berates Steven, but David steps in and tells her to back off. This angered Grace even more and she took it off david. All of a sudden David clenches his chest and falls down. This incident shook both the kids witnessing it. They immediately rushed to hospital to find out David suffered from a heart attack. Grace nearly fainted listening to this thinking it’s all her fault but Steven keeping the fight aside stepped in to handle grace and console her. After a while they got to know about the surgery where things went fine.
Seeing her loved ones suffering so much , made Grace realise that her dad needs Steven now and it's time for her to move on from her mom and let her dad have a new life.

I had the same exact situation when I was younger. I was at my friend's house this one night. It became very late and his father offered to drive me home. In the car, we just talked casually. When we arrived at my house, I thanked him, of course. We just stared at each other for several seconds and before I knew it, we were kissing. Took me completely by surprise, but it was so fantastic. It just felt so right! After that, we became lovers regularly. He had a condo in town that we would meet in all the time.

Why would the DAD be off-limits? They are both adults. I think it would make sense. Since Grace was his best friend and the father would have a lot of traits Grace has. Grace was upset because she didn’t know her dad was bisexual .

If Steven had been 30 or more, then Grace would have had to adjust. Her mom was dead. the mom understood the dad was bi and had been with men. Two years had passed. OK for dad to have appropriate romance. But the fact Steven is 17 and under age bothers me. The age gap is also very big. But truth can be stranger than fiction and the improbable can sometimes work.

This story is of grooming portray as one of finding love. A young fella who a couple years back was child and the grown-ass man who saw him growing since he was 5 yo. How can people be oblibious to reality? Look, Im a 21yo gay dude, who as any other, has atracttion/fantasies with mature men, but to act on it like there are no implications whatsoever is quite delusive. The emotional distress like this can convey years-long of future therapy. This message does not disvalidate relationship between people with an age gap. Dont be bold and prideful to think that a young mind (or yours to be specific) can handled the distress and have a moral/holistic understanding of the situation to still go at it. Oh, yeah...? "Grooming," really? I don't think so. I've been sexually active since I was about 11 or 12, I knew exactly what I wanted, and it sure wasn't girls. I would purposely put myself into situations with older, teenage guys...and adult men, too; and I usually always got what I was looking for, too. To someone who thinks like you, I was actually a victim, I was "groomed," as you call it, just because I was a precocious boy of 11 or 12 who was sexually attracted to older guys and adults, and I got them to act on it and oblige me, too. There was no harm ever done; I WANTED IT, and there are many others out there right now who was just like I was then. Age is just a number, and it's just sex; it's not like an unwanted pregnancy was possible! Methinks you've got some serious sexual hangups! It happened, it was in the moment, and it was also beautiful. It's all good. Sounds to me like you've been watching or listening to too much demonizing, psychobabble bullshit, like perhaps that idiot jerk "Dr." Phil, who's so "conservative" that he sits back and judges everyone else, when he couldn't even keep his own marriage together! Perhaps you're actually a bit jealous because you wanted something just like that to happen to you, but it didn't, so now you stand by and bitterly judge those who actually did, and found the experience to be a beautiful, positive one. My own partner is nearly 20 years older than I; he was in the military when I was a baby. Been together 23 years now...everything is as I wanted it to be. I was not, and I have never been, a victim when it comes to the sexual activity I engaged in with the older teens and young men I played around with when I a kid, and I WANTED to do it. I often initiated it, too; I am not ashamed of this in the least. I was actually ready to be out of my parents' house and on my own by age 15 but of course, I wasn't allowed! So take your crocodile sympathy and your bleeding heart ignorance elsewhere; I, and most others like me, "turned out" to be well-adjusted and productive adults...are we are just FINE.

Am happy that things worked out for you but i feel that sexual relationships with your friends parents is a line that should never be crossed. I would be very uncomfortable if any of my friends or anyone my age for that matter were to get into a relationship with my mother or father.
