Baba Is You New Adventures Part 8 - three absolutely MONSTER levels. Baba Is You has entered its real mind melting phase. I think we still did a good job at making it easy to follow along. Enjoy!

17:15 it actually created both rubble and flag but since rubble is weak it died to the flag, if transformation statements had some arbitrary order that would be not fun in terms of puzzle solving

I read somewhere that Word makes the game recheck statements as if the relevant objects were words to begin with, cmiiw. So it's basically a baba is flag baba is rubble dupe.

3:06 I think you overcomplicated this a bit, you could've just done 'foot is move' before 'belt is shift' instead of after, wait for the foot to bounce once, then assemble belt is shift

17:13 Not exactly. I think what you've done here is duplication, baba became both the rubble and the flag, and then the rubble was destroyed because it was on a flag while weak.

11:00 Baba is Empty: Holy Shizzle I had a very different solution. I probably got the intended, but fascinating seeing this alternative approach. Spoiler: Same empty near baba is you, baba mimic empty. I kept baba's adjacent so they can move normally but I can shift them around. Juggled rock the left to push it into lock and make lock is empty. Juggle is to the bottom, using push/rock to get it further in, and push is down the same way using the corner. Then two baba's against the right wall, move up to then right to push aside flag is flag all at once, and up to flag.

So in "Under the Floor" you could have just used the "is" to push "weak" to the left and you would have been able to solve it without needing that "is". That's how I did it.

For "Under The Floor", you could have had "Baba is Word" set up and use Baba to push in either the "Mimic" text or the "Me" text, then push in another piece of text using Me.

I'm just amazed that almost every solution you have is so different than what I did like that RUBLE IS WORD level, I snuck in a rubble which wasn't easy to flip FLAG IS WIN then I had BABA MIMIC ME and ME IS WORD so the BABA would turn into FLAG I couldn't write BABA IS WORD because I didn't realize I could get BABA text back after pushing it near the wall

How did "empty mimic flag" result in a win? Is even an occupied space considered empty? It would have to be fore him to win, but I didn't think that was how it works.

"Empty near Baba is You" meant Baba wasn't actually you, the eight squares around baba were you as long as they were unoccupied. "Baba mimic Empty" meant that Baba would also be You, as long as there was another Baba nearby (which the stacked Babas achieved). He set up "Flag is Win", then rearranged the "Baba mimic Empty" rule into "Empty mimic Flag". This made it so every empty square was Win. Since the "Empty near Baba is You" rule was also still there, the eight empty squares around Baba were both You and Win, clearing the level. Not sure if that actually clears things up, but that's what was happening in that level. Hope it makes sense.

No, an empty space is an empty space with nothing on it. But some of the empty spaces had the YOU text applied to them (through "empty near baba is you") so it was basically an X is YOU, X is WIN situation, which always clears the level if one of X is present (X being an empty spot near baba in this case)

Yeah, this is one game you do NOT want to jump into later on. Go back and watch the earlier episodes, they build up how mechanics work 1-2 words at a time. Even then, some of these puzzles will still melt your brain, but at least you will be able to understand why things worked when he finishes one:D
