@kaceesavage2 жыл бұрын
@@zinknot for sure thinner but there are 2 or 3 styles of the standard looking flexible work pants some are closer to the standard thickness. They hold up pretty well for being stretchy and a little thinner. I haven’t tried out the new dickies that stretch. The only thing I didn’t really like about the dickies I’ve had was that the cellphone pocket was too far back on my leg, otherwise they are good pants too.

Which model do you have? I got the double knee nyco cargo. Feel the same way as you do. Screw cheap pants not worth it. My dad lives close so I ride my bike to his place all the time. Two days after i bought my first test pair of 1620 Was riding around some bags of cement that had spilled off a truck earlier in the day. Bike tire caught the edge of the pavement and I went down on my left knee hard And slid for a couple feet tore through the first layer of my new pants. Not a scratch just sore knee Had I been wearing imported crap I would have torn off lots of skin. Sent them back for a repair.(free) I just payed shipping I don’t like to give my labor away so don’t really care for getting stuff at someone else’s expense So I bought three more pairs and the goofy hooded sweatshirt with zipper. Online sucks sometimes! I like the cut but the fabric is a bit on the weak side. Yeah it has the reinforced pockets and elbow arm pads but I’m just used to the monster Carhart fabric I forget the model. I wish more companies would fire the bean counters and just make good stuff. If you make a better product we will pay more. If you make it here that’s good too. The problem with Americans is they don’t look at lifecycle cost. Cheap crap is just crap. Buy once cry once. Don’t be a jerk expecting free repairs if they fix your pants buy another pair too. I sew on my old ass white sewing machine for some custom stuff because so cannot find what I want. Wow it’s a lot of work. I really admire the trade. There is a ton that goes into doing it right fabrics are not cheap. So do think they are making a fortune selling $200 plus pants. They are not!

I have the double knee cargo nyco Best decision!! If I take the time I spend finding new pants lol it’s worth the extra these cost. I carry inside the waste band. Walther pps. So I bought 36/34 my actual size is 34-35 I was buying Duluth fire house pants but the sizing went wrong. I have a hard time spending almost $80 on pants that don’t fit. The issue is I hate shopping. Normally I can only buy the 2-3 pairs that the store has in stock. I really liked the Duluth fire hose. But I can tell the 1620 will out last the Duluth. The cut on the 1620 is for sure the most fitted pants I have ever owned I would say that’s actually the best part. I have decided I will buy 2-3 pairs every year weather I need them or not. You can tell a lot of thought was put into these pants,job well done.

I have the same pair of pants and when you first get them they do have a sort of shine on the fabric that fades after a wash or two. So as an oyster farmer I've managed to fck up every pair of pants I can get my hands on for several reasons but one of the top issues is the rain gear we use is very rough inside and chews threw material at an impressive rate, Carhartt was my go too pant for about 30 years and now there just not the same, I can kill a double knee pair of Carhartt pants in less than 8 months and that's in several areas that we really do not want to give out 🤣 my tin pants holt to the task but are far to warm for the majority of the year perhaps I'll try to kill some of these for a bit... Going to keep looking but maybe this is the next purchase 🤔
