I haven't been keeping up with the new makeup releases, so I wanted to sit down, do my eyeshadow and go through trendmood today! Sometimes new releases make me question the world, and what the hell people were thinking, but others peaked my interest!

definitely picking up the colourpop x pokemon collab pallet for the packaging alone. since colourpop pallets are magenetic i plan on upgrading it in the future with singles. i really wish for future parts with the other generations as well! the first gen collab being a rainbow makes so much sense too!

I ordered the whole Pokemon collection. I am a huge pokemon fan still and my kids collect the cards and my husband and I still play the games. It was my make or break with colourpop. I was at my wits end with them because they don’t listen to their consumers at all and I personally, think they did an excellent job with it. I think they also had to because pokemon is very protective of their company. I’m so glad it wasn’t a neutral with a pop of color that they came out with for the past ten collabs. I have desert dry skin as well and I like the cream blushes and the fact that they made a super purple one is amazing. Because no one needs another peach or another neutral blush. They have way too much of that. This is just my personal opinion of course but I think this is a big step for colourpop because everything has been so boring. I think also keeping the names from the original game is a good choice. The mini palettes is not a good idea, they did that with animal crossing and gave us three shades with glitters so personally I’m glad they didn’t do minis.

completely agree with the animal crossing comment, i got one mini because i love animal crossing but i really wasn't excited about those colour stories, i don't gravitate towards quads that much so i am happy they did a big palette. they could definitely branch and do companion palettes and they would still sell well

I have two of the Chantecaille blushes from their permanent line, and they are $44 each but they also have magnetic refills for $32. I bought one to start when I received birthday moeny because I wanted to try it out but was hesitant. I ended up panning that entore blush without trying (and still using the other 5 blushes i had in my collection at the time) and loved it so much I bought the refill and a second shade. My highlighter is from wet n wild and the other blush I use multiple times a week is the Milani rose blush in the shade romantic rose and even with my love of drugstore makeup, i still think the Chantecaille blushes are worth it. I hate the price but they are so smooth and easy to use and look stunning on the skin

I find the ordinary lash serum helps my lashes! And for a comfortable matte liquid lip, try the kbeauty ones, like the Etude Fixing Tint. I swear you cannot feel them on the lips! Nothing even close to the traditional liquid lipstick.

It is an interesting point. I wonder if Colourpop would sell more with small palettes or one big one. For Chantacaille, I just won’t support them for any price because they are terrible for people who aren’t pale or light.

I hear what you're saying about the word crayon. It des sound childish. However, I do think it stems from the French word Crayon which translates to pencil in English. I think of it that way and then feel fancy for using the word. lol

I was soooo excited for the pokemon colourpop collection but they let me down. They released 7 lip products and 4 of them were sheer glosses that all looked the same on the lips and the other 3 were the ph changing lip balms that also all looked the same. I don't wear cream blushes so that was a pass and I wasn't a fan of the super shock options so I just passed on everything. The only remotely interesting thing left for me then was the palette and it was an eh. I know I wouldn't really use it so it would be for collection purposes which I am avoiding for now.

I heard once that the best lip color is one that matches the shade of the inside portion of your own lips. I love a hydrating lip too. Not really a fan of matte lip either.
