If you have to put your stuff in storage, then you have at least 50% too much. I didn't think the second woman had that much to deal with. I think it was more the emotional part of it that made her not deal with it right away. I know how that feels, but when my parent passed we dealt with things quickly, which made the emotions easier to deal with. I have many of my Mom's paintings that she painted, and have them very proudly hung gallery style on my living room wall.

I have moved 301 times in my life and lived on six continents. I don't have things from everywhere I went but I have my memories and the things that I did pick up and bring back. I am disabled and I did this all on my own dime. :-)

@B B you call it as you see it and if you call Bull I'm not going to do much to argue with you! I can tell you that for 10 years of marriage many decades ago the moving began with a man who felt he didn't need to pay rent. I got a phone call every three months. I wasn't even unpacked and I was told we're moving pack the house. That is only the first decade that I moved out of my parents house. You tend your own back garden and I'll tend mine! I've been places you could only dream of.

4:38 - That is the same chair my family used at the kitchen table when I was a kid in the 1990's in Texas. I never liked them much...Not very comfortable.

Don't put a reserve on the items. They rarely go. She missed out on a lot by putting reserve on the jewelry.

They were still correct. As a melodeon; is a type of accordion.

@@jess1987 No, it makes the sounds in a different way. They are both squeeze boxes but they are NOT the same. Listen to a melodeon - it makes a clacking sound when it's played.

Hoarding = accumulating. A supply, or accumulation that is hidden, or carefully guarded for presentation, future use, etc... It doesn't always have to be monstorous.
