One thing from the books that I wish they would have mentioned in the movies is that Harry gave Fred and George Weasley the money he won from the Triwizard Tournament and they used that money to open up their joke shop. His one condition was that they buy Ron new dress robes so that he didn't look like someone dressed from the 18th century the next time they had a school formal event🤣

The first time I read this book, I cried SO HARD. I was working at a summer camp, and the teens I was counseling asked me why I was sobbing…I cried “Snape killed Dumbledore!”😩😩😢😬. Ruined the book for about 12 people😂

My favorite unspoken moment of the series happens in this movie. I don't expect any reactors to pick it up first go. I've only seen one see it. They keep a piece of knowledge for book readers or even avid movie watchers. When Ron gets poisoned, Harry saves him using a bezoar. Snape taught him that in the first movie/book and again was written in the advanced potions book from the HBP, who we now know is Snape (last name was Prince, h/b mother). Anyway, the moment on the hospital wing that is my favorite: Dumbledore says "you must be very proud of your student Horace...using a bezoar" in the back you see Snape and Harry share a quick meaningful glance.... Snape a little surprised yet proud that he taught Harry something, and Harry both thankful but proud. Sweet moments to look back on after you finish the series 💗

"what about taxes? do y'all have a spell for taxes?" had me on the verge of tears 😂

The only thing i wish they wouldve shown in the movie was harry's growing relationship with the Half-Blood Prince throughout the movie. Snape used that book as more than a textbook cheat code. He also started using it as a diary and harry started to empathize and bond with him more before the twist at the end. If they did it, the twist wouldve hurt so much more

The fire spell Dumbledore used was called Fiendfyre and it takes an incredibly powerful and knowledgeable witch or wizard to utilize safely. All after he had drank that poison. Mind blowing how much power and wisdom he had.

In the book they explain that Snape's mother's maiden name was Prince, so that's why he's the half-blood prince. Wish they'd have explained it in the movie. I stood in line to buy the final book at midnight, and the big discussion was about Snape and whether he was good or bad!

That's the magical thing about this series especially if you read it as a child, you grow up with the characters and watch them grow from childhood at the same time. That's why people are so attached to it and why a lot of people still can't help but watch it despite JK Rowling, the writer, being controversial. There are lots of times in my childhood where it felt like Harry, Ron and Hermione were my only real friends.

You're the only person I've ever seen who's watched these movies (myself included) and picked up on Snape potentially having motivations and emotions we haven't yet been introduced to or seen. Me and everyone else, watched this movie and jumped straight on the "Snape is 100% evil look what he did" train. You're picking up on subtle inconsistencies, and subtle behaviors that flew over most people's heads. (Unless you were a book reader who already knows everything.) One of the things I didn't like about this movie was it didn't get into Voldemort's family history and a few other developments between characters that I loved in the books. So much that should have been in the films.

Tom Riddle was born from a muggle father under a love potion of Amortentia but when he sobered up after months and months or years he abandoned his mother in a cruel way so this is where he gets his hatter for muggles. I’ll also tell you that this birth made him super attractive to everyone in a very supernatural way which is nobody at school could refuse him and he could weasel his way through everything to get what he wants. Everyone fell for him. Especially the teachers but also the great historian Bathilda Bagshot. His aunty or great aunt. He wasn’t easy to resist.

This will help with Snape: Salazar wasn’t as simple as some may think. The histories go far back to when people were being murdered and other crazy things between muggles and the wizard kind. He was actually desiring to create this place to not just be a place of learning and curating knowledge but also a fortress against intruders! It’s a longer history that goes into several articles and channels showing this. This was to protect the children and all of wizard kind. And SOME of the halfbloods long ago were used as pawns and essentially moles into the wizarding communities. Even back than sure not all hit it’s the ROOT of the judgment upon halfbloods and muggleborns. Those like Lucius are practicing a tradition that was once noble and had stronger roots and traditions. It’s so far from that now that most families have fallen into mania. But not his wife. His wife is very cool and is only protecting Malfoy and teach him the ways of that realm and how to act and behave etc etc. He’s more like his mother and loves his mother! she grew up in the Black family tree and her original tree was related to Racenclaws and had to change their name to something else to keep the line alive. Also. The basilisk was for that reason alone. To defend against intruders and infiltration. And perhaps even to weed out LEGIT moles who were bringing danger to wizardkind. Salazar also was the only one to match Rewena Ravenclaw’s mind and originally they were to be betrothed. But… ❤

Professor Dumbledore's death was one of the most traumatic for Harry to witness. Right alongside his parents' murder at the hands of Voldemort when he was a year-old toddler, Cedric at the hands of Wormtail during the last task of the Triwizard Tournament in that graveyard, and Sirius dying by falling into the Veil in the Ministry of Magic. Also, for some convoluded reason, they ommited an explanation of what a bezoar is in the movies: Bezoars are stones taken from the stomachs of goats.

Butterbeer recipe: 1 liter cream soda 2-3 tablespoons butter 2-3 tablespoons brown sugar 1 cup heavy whipping cream 4-5 Werther's Originals candies Put cream soda in a pot to boil.
