Thistleclaw was a terrible character, especially after the whole situation with Spottedpaw and Tigerpaw. But I like to imagine there's a great complexity behind it - perhaps nostalgia for Snowfur and the times when they were a family together with Whitekit.
This project took me almost two years to be completed, despite being VERY small and simple. School hindered me a lot during the process, so I had to focus on many things besides this.
I was afraid to post, because in addition to the change on the artstyle in some scenes, I ended up creating a certain distaste for the project :( But I found the courage to continue and post, so here it is!

The fact that WhiteStorm’s father was training / apart of the darkforest and was a horrible cat, WhiteStorm turned out to be definitely one of the best cats in Warriors. It just warms my heart

i adore all the details!! the vines growing more and more between the shots of thistleclaw, whitekit, and spottedpaw till it becomes a dark, tangled mess of brambles surrounding tigerpaw is✨✨spectacular. also just. the light getting darker and the daisies withering too!! such beautiful small details like that make it so good🥹

The settings and emotions omg... this is gorgeous. I love how the flowers gradually wilt and the thorns grow with each cat Thistle has hurt one way or another, and how the background gets darker and its colours shift and grow far more intense. Incredible attention to detail, amazing work.

Oh my god!! this is so absolutely gorgeous! I especially love the scenery in that first panel with the spirit cat by the road wire. Thistleclaw is definitely one of my favorite warriors villains. A horrible cat, but ive always liked to think his relationship with his family was morally gray, he loved Snowfur and Whitekit. Just not as much as he did power.

Omg.. this is actually so beautiful, i felt like i just watched an emotional movie in a few seconds :'0 I really find it sad how Snowfur and thistleclaw were a perfect couple but once she died, nothing was keeping him from being the terrible person he always was Like, as a husband, hes amazing But otherwise he's the absolute worse If she didn't die, alot of the books wouldn't exist

OKAY THIS IA ABSOLUTELY AMAZING i hate Spottedlefs heart. In Bluestars prophecy wasnt clean enough to say bad Thistleclaw or its just bluefur’s imagination and starclans games But spottedleafs heart ruined that “gray moral” character, making him absolutely freak Im in love with your pmv, the symbols, style and lyrics are incredible

This fucking hurts man 😭🤚 Thistleclaw wasn't the best guy by any means but Snowfur brought out the best in him and once she died, that goodness died with her Just showing all the kits with the vines encroaching as each is shown, the flowers starting to die, and Thistleclaw becoming more and more battered between them And then just ending with him seeing Snowfur by the light and going towards her with a look of pure adoration hurts man 😭🤚 He's evil but still wishing for Snowfur and that goodness at the end :(

Aaaaaa thank you so much!! 💕💕💕 I used to paint the backgrounds with Adobe Photoshop! But then I got Clip Studio Paint (preferably, I think it's better to use photoshop than csp for backgrounds, but I think maybe it's just a lack of habit!)

Thank you!!! ❤ So, Thistleclaw tried to have a relationship (someone correct me if I'm wrong) with Spottedleaf, who was an apprentice at the time, while he was a warrior :/ There is so much more information in her novel! I haven't read it yet, but I plan to one day

Moonkitti’s video “I sort-of spoil Spottedleaf’s Heart” explains it well!! In short, Thistleclaw starts showing interest in Spotted from the time she’s still a kitten (while he is a fully grown warrior), and as an apprentice courts her while telling her things like that she’s mature for her age, which is a HUGE red flag for real life grooming situations. She ends up switching from a warrior apprentice to a medicine cat apprentice explicitly to get away from him

Thistle claw might be the most tragic villain ever written his life was miserable at birth having a violent abusive father as a kit, I won’t get into details of snowfur x thistlekit I don’t wanna get banned, sweet paws death really affected him to, blue star turned his remaining family against him, he was bullied for the remainder of his life because of blue star hating on him until he died
