I recently installed this G and B bender on my Telecaster and thought I´d show you guys how it works and how I set it up.

That sounds excellent. I just ordered one based on your video! I have two Teles, a cheap one (Squier) and a vintage reissue. The bender will go on the Squier.

That´s really cool! Didn´t know they have been around for so long. I only saw this one a few months ago while browsing on Instagram. I was always interested in benders and since this one looked quite easy to install, I got in touch with David Certano and asked if he could send me one. Really like how it is working on my tele.

Great work , and thanks for the explanation of how you might apply it to standard tuned guitar. I have a Gretsch Lappy that I put them on and they work great.

Właśnie zakupiłem w Certano i czekam na dostawę.Myślę że powiększenie otworów wiertłem do metalu ,w których tkwią końcówki strun, pozwoli na swobodną pracę benderów.Tojedyny bender jaki widziałem w Europie ,który jednoceśnie potrafi pracować na obu strunach(szwedzki wymaga przełączania z B na G i odwrotnie).

Don’t know if I would mod my Tele like that, but I do have a really cool Glarry (Tele knock off) that I keep behind the seat of my Pickup Truck with my BlackStar Fly that would love this. I’m not a mod kinda guy, but this is absolutely perfect !

I’m sure the bender should go perfectly with that Tele. One day I will definitely get myself a pick pickup truck and keep a Tele behind the seat. Sounds like it would be the perfect combo!

Can these be installed on acoustic guitars and possibly even a twelve string? Just bouncing some ideas, and thinking it might really be interesting on different types of guitars!! Thank You for everything, this a really cool thing!

Hey Mike, no I’m afraid it wouldn’t work on an acoustic but perhaps it would be possible to set it up on a 12 string electric and I’m sure it would sound awesome 🎸😎

Really cool! Do the benders get in the way of palm muting lower strings? Do you find they get in the way of other playing styles? I'm trying to decide if I should have a dedicated guitar for this or if I should put them on my main telecaster.

Good question, I guess it would have to have a solid block under the top where you’d do the drilling. Glad you enjoyed the video 🙏

Hello Kjartan thank you for making this video. After I saw your video I bought a Certano Bender like yours. I havent installed it yet. Which set of strings do you use for your bender? How did you decide where to drill the two holes ?- the distance of the holes from your ashtray brigde plate? You have a lot of great playing and info on your channel im a subscriber from now on

Hey man and welcome to my channel. I’m sure you’ll have a lot of fun with the benders. I’ve got mine set up with a set of Ernie Ball 11-48 but at the time I made the video I was using 10-46. 10-46 worked great but I decided to go for heavier strings because I use it a lot for slide playing. Might actually go back to 10’s. I didn’t really do any measurements for the drilling, just did it by feeling tbh. Since I posted this video I actually installed a string tree on the G string as it was buzzing a bit after installing the bender.

You can get one directly from David Certano, there is a link in the video description. This is not going to work on an acoustic I’m afraid.

Highly recommend it. Still have those on my Tele and use them a lot. I actually got my self a Lap Steel and put Certano benders on that one as well. You can find the video where I talk about it here on my channel ☺️
