Saturn owners seem like they'd be the opposite of snobby. Looks like a fun show. It's disappointing how GM neglected Saturn but we still got some interesting cars.

Saturn’s such an underrated brand!

Thank you so much for coming out!! I am one of the organizers for this meet and I still can't believe how well it went! We will be having these every year so if your into Saturns be sure to attend! I also cannot wait to see my car on the channel!

Was great to meet you Zach! Thanks for all the kind words on the car. I hope to see the SC2 on the channel sometime in the near future!

I absolutely love those early Saturns. I think their designs have held up very well!

As a person who owned a Saturn 20 years ago and thought it was a great car, I’m glad they still have a following.
@nowiecocheАй бұрын
Somehow became a Saturn fan when I bought my SC2 two years ago. I was intrigued before I got my Saturn, but now I think I understand what made Saturn fans stay. My SC2 is very fun to drive, and it’s unique as a bonus.

You know what Saturns are pretty cool

As a European I LOVE Saturns. When I come to the US, I´m definitely gonna go spotting them. Thx for sharing this with us

My mom used to drive a 2001 SC1 she bought new which was a dark purple color I believe was called black raspberry. Lots of memories in that thing. In her 15 year of owning it, it broke down once which turned out to be a very minor problem. I wish we still had it because I would've loved for it to be my first car.

my dad had an SL2 in the same color, miss it to this day

Old cars like the ones in the museum have a certain smell that is glorious!

Growing up in the 90s I used to see Saturns everywhere and no one thought anything of them. Maybe it's just nostalgia but I miss those cars and wouldn't mind owning a clean one with a manual.
@WilliamBiddlecombe-dq7itАй бұрын
Thanks for being there! I had one of the cars there. If you ever make it out to north central Ohio ill let you check out the rest of my Saturn collection.

I really miss Saturn, drove a 5 speed LS for 8 years, always was fund on the company, GM really should have kept the idea of saturn around, they look so good in the 90's...
@gforcecoons5857Ай бұрын
Sweet. I had a '94 SL1. I waited for years for it to explode but it went 190K miles!
@rejoycelunceford6209Ай бұрын
I love that you came out and video blogged the show. I was there from VA with 1 of my Saturns. Maybe I’ll bring out next year the AACA fully judged 92 SC, Senior Grand National winner on repeat preservation. William & I need car carriers at this point to bring our collections. 😂

Correction Zack, the L series 4 cylinder is the 2.2 Ecotec and it's DOHC and not SOHC.

This is amazing. I have a 2008 Saturn Aura that I’ve had since high school (13 years and counting)! I’ve put mood lights in it, K&N air filters, OEM chrome wheels still on it, Pioneer sound system, rear spoiler, tinted windows and a lot more over the years! Still get compliments on it to this day - I’ve put around ~42,000 miles on it in the last 13 years total, really trying to baby it. Also, I have a 2004 Olds Bravada I’m going to put a sound system in and have tinted the windows - it has just over 99,000 miles on it, I’ve had it for 5 years and have put about 11,000 miles on it total since I bought it. I’m also trying to baby it too for shows like this. Really been looking for some meet ups, really cool to know this exists! I’m going to have to get my Saturn and my gear ready and attend - cool stuff! 👍🏾🔥 Shame what GM let happen to brands like Saturn and Oldsmobile, two of my favorites.

Wow, I would have gone to this if I had heard about it. I was even in the Auburn area Saturday morning. Bummer.

My exwife had a first-gen SC1 in hs/college in the early 2000s and we traded it for a full-loaded Ion sedan in 2004. That was actually a solid car for the $18k we paid back then … even drove it as far as Atlanta to VA Beach once - definitely was a cool little car. Those really clean examples look absolutely incredible!

In my local I can see a SC2 every single day, seems like a 1996 model. That car impressed me by tons of smoke come out from exhaust pipe when it start, I never seen that much smoke in any other car, I'm not sure how owner made it😂
@bwofficial1776Ай бұрын
Mid-90s to mid-00s GMs will run longer poorly than many cars will run at all. They're nearly unkillable.
@xdavie314 күн бұрын
Smoke from burning oil. Saturn 1.9 motors didn't have oil return holes in the pistons, causing a tendency for the rings to stick, hence the oild burning.

Awesome!! You can be a judge at our show any time as well!

Greatest car I ever owned in my life was a 1998 Saturn Sl2 back in 2016. Lasted only 2 years but never spent a dime in repairs, ran up and down the New Jersey Turnpike at 85 mph, consistently got 33 mpgs. Only fault was that it drank oil like a fish but totally awesome mobile.
@djsamples3777Ай бұрын
Still drive an 07 Aura , shocked there wasn’t one there!
@nowiecocheАй бұрын
I never knew of this event going on! As a Saturn owner for only 2 years still, this looks very intriguing. Love seeing all the different Saturns out in the wild. Now I really need to fix up my SC2 to pass emissions. Also all the front suspension.

GM did Saturn wrong by dropping them😢

It is sad what happened to Saturn. GM mis-managed Saturn and shut it down after going bankrupt in 2009. Saturns were not supposed to be similar to Chevy, Olds, Pontiac or Buick. Like Ford, GM doesn't want to make cars anymore because they are less profitable then SUVs.
@Jazc-mp889Ай бұрын
And the L Series, Saab 9-5 shared the platform with the Opel Vectra B in Europe.

Successful.... Are you making a reasonable living doing what you enjoy and feel good at the end of the day? If 'Yes', then take it from this old fart; Zack, you are successful. PS. Still waiting for you to come out to Arizona to film some cars!

I personally love the Saturn design language, long flat lights and so much plastic. sleek, cheap and captures a time period perfectly.
