The fiberglass cab is crap. I was hoping you would tap the metal vs the fiberglass. And I would think that over time the seal between metal and fiberglass would leak. The wheel shrouds, whatever they are called, appear to be fiberglass. The truck looks awful.

My dad bought a dark blue t&c back in 05. Did well hauling us around. I still remember my mom would shift it into low gear to get out of the snow banks when I miss the bus. My cousin bought the car from us when he went to college in WV one trip hauling all his stuff but he went on to wrap it around a tree. he lived but the van was totaled.

I remembered driving a rental journey years ago and it was horrible. So slow, bad gas mileage and no bluetooth. I remembered driving up to 80mph and it barely keeps up with the traffic.

"still looks decently modern"??... dude, it has that notorious bullet shape, just like the 8th gen (and even more refined i would say). A more JDM style. At least that generations can be identified by something. Now, look at the new gen civics with that bigger more american front end, they look so fucking generic. Wtf they where thinking?, really they look like an american product. And they are larger, it is like the new civic is an accord and the new accord is like an executive boring sedane for old people. Also, this probably one of the most (if not the most) realiable generations. The new honda products with turbo had severe problems, also related CVTs sucks.

The Journey was the last car sold in the US with a four-speed transmission. There's one of these in the neighborhood next to mine that's been abandoned on the street for years. The police won't even mark it for towing because I guess the tow yards don't want it. I had one as a rental car once and it was probably the most mediocre transportation they had. It worked but it was as meh as it could be.

Funny I remember seeing these car new back in the late 2000s. My dad was shopping for a suv. He was comparing between the 4Runner with a v8 and the Jeep commander. The salesman try’s to sell him a journey at the Jeep Dodge Chrysler dealership. I’ve never seen my dad got mad at anyone but he got so upset he would drive further to avoid passing by that dealership to this day. I inherited the 4Runner when I gone off to college we sold it after 450.000 miles.

TPMS issue is usually on the tire when it has a weak battery. Not necessarily the TPMS module inside the Pacifica.

The thing I dislike the most about this car is how dirty it is. No matter anything else you’d think the owner would clean it before you reviewed it.

This was actually the replacement for the Dodge Caravan. You might notice the extra long doors, stow and go cubbies at the backseat. In 2007 not all Dealerships were DJCR, and Dodge dealers were up in arms that their best selling product was going away. So Chrsyler took most of the Caravan tooling, the transmission (which was already a carryover from the 80s), made it an SUV and added a Mitsubishi Galant engine and voila! It was also the lowest cost SUV in America at $19,985 at launch, and for the 2019 model year (which continuted into 2020 production) it was still only $24k with a third row, much improved seats and suspention. So I think to call it meh, is unfair. I got a 2018 for $18,500. A friend got her 2017 for $16,500, and my girlfriend got her 2019, for $19,000 even, but with a packge, of some kind. This was a really cheap new car, with a familiar mechanical feel. I know these had transmission problems (no surprise there), and they used cheap plastics joining the coolant lines, but the car you were looking at had 150,000, all for the cost of a Nissan Versa.

That thing is mint. I will say though the USA definitely used to love wagons. From the 1950-90s wagons were everywhere. I wish they would make a return tbh

I have a Vauxhall vxr8. All these are derived from the Holden commodore. Mine has a ls2 and what a hoot it is to own. We don’t get many v8’s in the uk. Partly because our fuel costs are insane and we pay tax every year for the pleasure of driving on the road. It’s based on emissions, the more you make the more you pay which is painful. Only 1000 were ever sold and it was a huge flop here. Real petrol heads love them but most have no idea what’s under the bonnet (hood), it’s fast, it’s loud and it goes sideways. What more could you want from your daily driver??

I had mine 84 from 1993 to 2019. It was my daily driver and I painted it 3 times. I had to sell it because I didn’t have more space and the buyer in less than 3 months ruined it. I don’t know what he did to the computer but left it runningless .

fun fact: the battery of these cool guys is placed in front of the left wheel, jammed inside the front bumper. to access it, you have to jack the car, take the wheel off and the dust cover off, just to find the battery horribly dirty.

"Station wagons have never been popular", meanwhile nearly every kid who grew up from the 50s to the 90s had a station wagon in their family at some point or another. In some car lineups the station wagon was actually the top of the line luxury ride until minivans eroded the market and they fell out of fashion, but things always go in cycles, SUVs cannot remain popular forever any more than fins or station wagons or minivans or hatchbacks did .
