In the summer of 2007, Jamie Hull was serving with the UK Special Forces (Reserve) and about to deploy to Afghanistan on operations. But his life changed forever when he was forced to jump from a burning plane while learning to fly.
Such were his injuries, doctors gave him just a five per cent chance of survival.
Despite suffering horrific third and fourth degree burns and undergoing more than 60 operations in the ensuing 15 years, Jamie has defied the odds and gone on to represent his country in the Invictus Games, complete the London Marathon and climb Mount Kilimanjaro on the way to raising thousands of pounds for military charities.
Please take a few minutes to listen to his remarkable story.
If you’d like to help veterans like Jamie, you can do so by playing the Veterans’ Lottery. This month’s jackpot is £50,000.
Please help us support those in need and be in with the chance to win £50,000 every month: www.veteransfoundation.org.uk...
Veterans’ Foundation supports over 350 UK-based military & Veteran charities. We have given over £12 million to these charities and projects, please help us give more by joining the National Veterans’ Lottery: www.veteransfoundation.org.uk...

Im glad he is no longer in that state of mind he was in for a while, I can only imagine how hard it is to go through something like that. Hes very lucky to still have all his limbs, hands, fingers and feet etc. Alot of 4th degree burns often people lose their fingers and toes along with their noses and even lips. So he is extremely lucky! Glad he is able to move on and live a happy life now

Yes thank you James for joining your country in a war where you kill other human beings without any real reason besides being told by the government that its your duty to do so. Very well done every brainwashed soldier we got out here. If you thank another human being for killing others its just sick, stop swallowing the propaganda of your politicians that you should thank soldiers, instead support them never joining the army because nothing good comes out of it.

Just happened upon this video Sir and your story is very inspiring. As a woman, I think many aspects of a man make him attractive. Confidence in himself is one, the ability to see a positive side in a situation, character, life experience, and so much more than physical and outer looks. Sir, I think you are more handsome now then before. It’s not that you may not have had these things that I mentioned before but it’s because when you’ve been through hell and back there is a renewed sense of life, value and purpose that only one who has been to hell and back can attest too. You are more than you know.
