In the summer of 2007, Jamie Hull was serving with the UK Special Forces (Reserve) and about to deploy to Afghanistan on operations. But his life changed forever when he was forced to jump from a burning plane while learning to fly.
Such were his injuries, doctors gave him just a five per cent chance of survival.
Despite suffering horrific third and fourth degree burns and undergoing more than 60 operations in the ensuing 15 years, Jamie has defied the odds and gone on to represent his country in the Invictus Games, complete the London Marathon and climb Mount Kilimanjaro on the way to raising thousands of pounds for military charities.
Please take a few minutes to listen to his remarkable story.
