She just a few days ago admitted that if she had to decide between MJ or Prince she would say Prince was better. She is befriended with Quincy Jones who in the recent years was not really saying many nice things about MJ and sadly still works with Oprah and Spielberg (all of them let MJ down). She also caused quite a hoopla recently bc she complained that she did not get a role in the upcoming biopic feeling she had enough relevancy bc she was his back up singer and had a duet with him plus wrote Man in the mirror. Fans then started calling out the filmmakers for not including her (well at least some fans, even considering petitions on her behalf) and after a few days she shared a photo of an actress from the biopic set acting her and then admitted she actually had a role but not a "speaking" role. She also requests 10K for appearing at fan events. So the fandom is divided at this point regarding her. Some feel she is too ego driven and think she has more relevancy than she did and others admire her and feel she deserves more mention. She though had her appearances in quite a few documentaries where she was able to tell the world that she wrote Man in the mirror.

Siedah Garrett recorded and reworked an MJ demo from the Thriller era called "Baby's Got It Bad" in 1988. it is a reinterpreted remake of Michael's 1982 demo "Got The Hots" this time told from the woman's perspective. Michael's is funky and early 80's whereas Siedah's is lush, sophisticated, late 80's Pop. she is a great singer.

I knew you'd do this song eventually. When I first heard this while I was at work on Radio 1 in 1987 when it was released, I actually asked my Manager: 'Who is this woman singing?' That's the only thing that puts me off the song. I much prefer 'deep' voices with occasional falsetto. (like The Elvis) I saw Michael at the Wembley Stadium on his History tour in 1997. The concert I saw (with quite a good standing position) was not like Bucharest. There were only 2 or 3 'stand out' numbers and stage effects: He came on in a small rocket, he sang 'You Are Not Alone' with his best stage effects ever joining a lady in an electric blue jacket who I think was lovely Lisa Marie Presley. (who had appeared in the music video of 'You Are Not Alone'. 'Smooth Criminal' was the other Brilliant song that he didi and apart from a few minutes when he hugged (and I think kissed the hair) of a girl from the audience, he did not stop 'dancing' for nearly 2 hours.

As an MJ fan you should know who she is. Her name is Siedah Garrett. She co-wrote Man In the Mirror with Glen Ballard at the request of Quincy Jones. Jones introduced her to Michael. She was the co singer of I Just Can’t Stop Loving You on the record track. She was on tour with him for Dangerous and HIStory tours. She still advocates for him as several of his band still does. She has done solo work on her own but she never became successful on her own. She is more known as her work with MJ.
