I had the pleasure of performing at Soundstorm 2023 with MY GUYS, Jazzy Jeff and Jaden. This was probably one of the craziest shows I’ve ever done! We did the Big Beast stage, which set the Guinness World Record as the tallest stage (temporary) at Soundstorm 2021. What an incredible experience.

The first concert I had ever attended was DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince in York, PA. I was 17 turning 18 and for my birthday, I had begged my mother to let me and my BFF go. My mom sat out in the parking lot the whole concert waiting for us, but the time inside was probably one of the most transitioning moments of my childhood to becoming an adult. Lucky me!!! that I have that as a coming of age experience! Thank you Jeff & Will ❣💫✌

I was just telling my husband that. We did the same thing to Michael Jackson. When the Most High removed him from our mist, we realized the gem we had amongst us. Especially in the black community. Same ..1987… I’m so grateful to have experienced my childhood and teenage years when I did. The 90’s and early 2000’s in my opinion, was the golden era of music. Hip hop and R&B was in its prime. I just can’t get into what’s coming out these days. But yeah, they really were simpler times. As kids, we used to complain that there was nothing to do, but it was that boredom that forced you to be creative, get outside, and actually do sh!t. I think social media is a huge part of why society and just life in general feels so much different. Social media is great and all, but honestly, I think there’s far more negatives to it. Sorry for the rant, but yeah… nostalgia is a hell of a drug.
