Before making a "Rivers is gay" joke because he's singing about a man, remember that the line "I've smoked a few before but never thought it was a crime" in the song "Pink Triangle" is more likely referring to "Smoking the pipe", not "Smoking the pot" with the context of the song. Smoking pot means smoking cannabis, while smoking the pipe means performing oral sex on a man. Rivers confirmed what you're about to say, you just weren't paying attention. If you don't believe me, Pink Triangle is mostly about homosexuality, as the pink triangle on a sleeve is a homosexuality pride symbol that was claimed by the LGBTQ community after World War 2, where the pink triangle was used by Nazi Germany to identify homosexual prisoners. Since the pink triangle is associated with LGBTQ pride, it wouldn't make sense for Rivers to talk about cannabis. Also, the crime part is because same-sex marriage wasn't recognized in the United States until 2015. Do with this information what you must.
