something bout jamming waves is after burner targets a face up monster so you cant pop a face down monster with after burner but you can with jamming waves youd be surprised how often this can come up

"All I know how to do anymore is activate engage, it's been so long. I don't know what yugioh is anymore. The other day, I activated RotA and tried to draw another card after I searched. Everything has become sky striker to me. There are no other spells, no monsters other than Raye. The only trap i know how to activate is impermanence. Occasionally I negate something in its column, and I cry a little. I attack for game but wish I was being gamed instead. It's become a joke of sorts, or maybe it's just my life. I can't go anywhere without seeing strikers. I went to feed my dog the other night, but instead of eating she summoned a 1500/1500 token. I had to put her down. I sit in the corner now counting down the days, the days where we shall see sweet release from this torment, the day when link summoning was about multiple monsters having a special bond and creating something beautiful. Those days are long gone. I have seen God, and I have seen the devil, but they are one and the same. I stared into the abyss and screamed, and it screamed back: "kagari add engage"

I think the biggest advantage of sky strikers in DL format is the smaller deck size, making the deck ultra consistent as compared to the master rule counterpart

@@zerogear6049 not necessarily. Sky strikers specifically want to have access to both raye and engage as their core plays. So tcg decklist often include 3 upstart and/or pot of desires, even TTT to achieve that. But in a 20-card deck, you no longer have to

Dark World Dealings seems a little risky to me - as a control deck you really don’t want to let your opponent plus by cycling a card with a gy effect for a fresh draw. It’s great if you have a shark cannon to check their discard, or they pitch something useless, but I can see Zombies and other Striker decks being very popular on ladder.

@@Z.2022 yeah neither feels amazing. Into the void is awkward because you can’t organise end phase triggers like in tcg/md, so you can’t add with shizuku without immediately discarding. You can go multirole > engage > kagari add back and set engage > shizuku add > discard > reset discard but i feel like turn 1 kagari is generally wrong anyway. It’s also not great going second a lot of the time, since you’re basically committing to breaking the entire board that turn by using it. I’m currently trying out DWD and just not activating it blind unless I open no access to raye, but my gut says ITV might be the better option on balance. It does often feel necessary to get spells into the gy so you probably want to play a couple of draw spells, but I’m still not massively keen on either of them. Maybe it’ll just take some adjustment

Void is objectively better. I prefer to play a 17 card deck and put a spell in grave without going -1 and giving my opponent a chance to fix their hand 😂😂😂

against non targetable monsters you can use jamming waves after destroying a spell/trap you can destroy a monster without targeting (you can destroy your own spell/trap car if necessary)

I didn’t know Sky Striker up until now. I just knew that many hated it when it was powerful in Master Duel. So I fought againt a person playing it, and it was exactly as I imagined. It negates, negates, negates, destroys, destroys, destroys, and slowly and painfully kills you. I already hate it more than I hated Tachyon, let’s see if it will reach the Orcust tier of hatred

Sky Striker in the TCG ain't doing anything. It's power crept by the new cards. It's an 2018 deck. I play Sky Striker in both MD and TCG.

I stopped playing this like 3 years ago because the meta used to shift too often. Picked it back up and in the last month and a half it shifted three times, there’s nothing free to play friendly about a game that requires you to buy through a box three times to make the deck. That’s not free unless it’s a new account. I see why everyone has shifted to master duel, you can get the top tier deck for actually free and the meta doesn’t shift every two weeks with a new box. By the time I get gems to buy a deck it gets nerfed or they drop the newest pack to counter it

Yeah, you have to know how to play the deck to do well with it, but MAN getting used to DL format for this was easier than I expected it to be. You just have to luck into IDP/Forbidden Droplet or climb into Dingirsu as outs to targeting proof nonsense, but other than that if you've ever played the oldest builds of the deck(or looked up how they played) it's all a matter of making the right searches and executing them in the right order.

New meta decks out here winning cause if you take the time to read the cards you lose from time out, if you don’t read you get countered so new meta always looks strong for a month then they limit it release counters and a new meta and farming credit cards

I assume you mean when I use the field spell on raye? Incase I hit engage off the top 3 cards from the field spell, if I straight summoned shizuku then id have to link it off for kagari if i want to use the engage twice that turn and since u cant summon the same striker twice in a turn Id lose shizuku's search.
