Normal day jobs don't work for me and I am thankful, it is slavery. I am joining the military. Ladies and gentlemen, it is okay that working at a normal day job makes you hate and quit and so forth...you are meant for something better. It's high school crap at working at a normal day jobs.

stop with the bs banking and sales jobs. That stuff doesn't work for you because you took that job assuming it would be easy. That shouldn't even be a consideration. Go get a certified skill and start making 6 figures.

I’ve quit around 4 jobs in the past year ,I just have such a hard time staying at a job that I dislike and I get so depressed that just stop showing up.I just started my current job about a month ago and I hate it already.I’ve already started filling out applications and going to interviews.I hate quitting and disappointing myself but I just can’t force myself to stay somewhere when I know there might be other options
@michaelabenton4457

I get it, and the thing we need to understand is that there are always going to be better options whether it's a job, better-looking boyfriends or girlfriends, etc. Unfortunately, we can't take every option but we can take an option that leads us towards our ultimate goal in life. My advice is for you to take out a piece of paper and write your strengths, weaknesses, likes, and dislikes when it comes to working. ask yourself questions like; what could I see myself doing every day, what would be fun. From there you can start to write down all the different jobs that include your strengths and what you're into.

Times have changed and we are a different generation of people. We don’t stay at jobs 10,20,30+ years anymore like the older folks do. Our mindset towards the average 9to5 work life has shifted a lot since these past few years. We want to start businesses, we want to explore different ways to earn money, we want freedom, we want time with our families. We are awake now and we know that this work life is misery

Man, the longest I have held a job was 2 years. Than I quit. I did uber for the longest time, got back into a w2 because money from the apps is no longer good.... half a month in and I wanna quit already lol. Been like this forever. Im 30 years old now, I cant work for anybody man. I dont take orders, I hate people, I love money but tbh, if anything this pandemic taught me and during this post pandemic world is time is more valuable. Which is why im an advocate of seasonal work. 6 months working than 6 months off. Work sucks. America sucks. I want out of this shit.

I feel that way every day. I just quit a job my buddy got me as a merchandiser. Basically they were unprofessional from the start. One day of training and on day two I was on my own and not in a Prius like they said but that I had to use my own car....lol. Red flag one, then my friend who is lazy was taking advantage of me by telling me to stay late to finish his stores so he wouldn't have to do anything the following day. Plus it's a whole different side of town that I don't know. It was too much work and too little pay. I took a pay loss cause I ran CNC machines and was making $20 an hour and was only making $15 on this job.

The longest I worked a job was 2 years and 4 months. I am plenty loyal as long as they don't screw me over. Also 30 years old with that being said I am no fool when I see the writing on the wall I leave. The problem with always quitting your job is that people will be less inclined to hire you.

The purpose is to build skills and use the job as a stepping stone. Having multiple skills is the end goal. Dont quit from fast food to go work another fast food. Etc Use great wording in your resumes or hire someone to create one for you . Thats how you move up. In these current times there is no job security like there was 30 , 40 years ago. Wages arent increasing but bills are . Dont ever feel bad for leaving a job if you have something greater in mind, but NEVER leave a job without having some form of income set up. Struggling to pay your bills is a pain .

Well my current job is front desk as well as my last job I quit, I’m about to leave my current job because of the lack of training and staff changes. I figured I’m the type of person that don’t like distractions on the job, and front desk work is constant distractions, and I get burned out from it. Today is possibly my last day on my job. I have a part time job lined up job driving auto parts to shops, this will definitely a pay cut, but at least I’ll have a peace of mind....this job will allow me to focus on my business I started last year...and to focus on myself 👌🏾
@Dreas_Redpumps

Update: I’m driving delivering auto parts and ironically it’s more peaceful for me because that all I do. Would I like to be back in the office..absolutely. I got a little down because I started to feel like I made a mistake leaving my job but realized this was the path for me to get where I want to go. I want to get into HR so I’m studying for my certification for that. If someone is thinking about doing it, just have a plan, hard times will come but keep going..it’s only a season..and seasons change 💯🤞🏾

The longest job I had I stayed for 6 years. I genuinely enjoyed that industry and would have stayed longer until we got a new CEO (who had a political agenda when he applied to that post) and I quit. This was in the beginning of the pandemic. I got a part-time job to help pay off my bills, and was pressured by family to find a full-time job in the meantime. Eventually I found one, but it was a miserable experience. I quit and upgraded my skills, then tried my luck again. Holy shit, the next one was so much worse, and lasted even shorter. Went back to part-time and I'm much happier. I suspect that I'm on the spectrum, and I can't mask anymore. People who suck up to upper management just make it suck for everyone else, and I can't deal with that anymore.

I have the same problem. My manager asked me to stand on a pallete while he raised a forklift. I told him no. The next day he had his son do it, shaking scared. I quit. I had one job for a temp agency repeatedly tell us friday we "have to" come in for saturday. Then, within the same day they said no more phones in the building and we'll be doing 2 weeks in a row (14 days and weekends) which is illegal. I walked. I had a boss at Wal-Mart repeatedly tell everyone to keep doing something, like he would not let up. I actually had my fingers exposed once a few years ago until they were purple so now they DO NOT do good in the cold. they go dead, and sting. As soon as he asked me to go push carts (just to keep telling people to do things, he had FOUR of us out there believe it or not) I walked when my fingers started to piss me off. I know to some people these are "low" jobs but I graduated a trade school and worked with computers and in offices and there is always something. SOMETHING to piss me off. sexism, classism, whatever.. wish I had something positive to say, just sharing experiences. I think Im about to go work fast food 7 days a week. To me its about luck. Good co workers or not. Thats all I care about anymore not work money anything... just no bullshit

You really have to vet your jobs the way you would pick a relationship. Most jobs suck that's why I am always competitive and do research on the company. Emphasize my skills and my ability to learn skills. Let them know you can adapt to the culture. Be positive and energetic at least at the interview. No job is perfect but I can guarantee you that being picky and getting some college especially like Penn Foster can add value to your worth.

I think that’s a great question everyone should ask themselves. If everyone was truly honest with themselves they know the answer to that question. Some will SAY they want more but aren’t willing to make sacrifices to get more so they settle. Others know they want more and are willing to make changes but they’re stuck because this is new territory for them, they’re not sure how to proceed so they get overwhelmed, paralysis by analysis, procrastination, etc.

Young people often don't have realistic expectations from a job. All you can expect from an employer is for them to be respectful and pay you on time. If they're doing that you should stay until you have a bonafide plan together. The key to a better job is certifications/licenses. Get a certified skill and you'll be on your way.,

I’m glad I found this as I’m looking to transition out of my current job into something else. I did speak with my pastors and they gave sound advice, but this video really made everything come into full view for me. I am unhappy with where I’m at. The working conditions are unfavorable, the management is terrible, and I still don’t have what I need to fully work in my role. Plus, there’s no growth financially or position wise unless I go back to school (and I’ve had my share of school) and even if I was to level up there, I’d still be miserable. My only options left is to do the traveling portion or just relocate to another city. However, will I still be satisfied even after doing that? I definitely have to think about why I chose what I chose and what for because I’m tired of all of this back and forth.

I started having this issue in 2018, when I was heavily depressed and couldn't manage my workload well. The jobs did have managers that were unreasonable to a degree but looking back I left each time because of deep stress I brought with me. The jobs were stressful in some cases but they weren't the source of it. I was depressed and anxious before I got there and the job and the people were easy to blame. The pandemic and some life changing events helped me be more aware. I find myself wanting to quit a job whenever I feel deeply stressed, and once I handle the stressor I'm OK again. Self awareness is key, no matter how much we don't want to face it. My biggest issue now is being consistent and self aware during stressful times and disruptions. I tend to go down hill whenever my routine is interrupted, which causes high anxiety. I'm working on rebounding faster while still acknowledging that shit happens and it can be upsetting.. but all in all life isn't over. I've still got a ways to go but any little bit helps, like you said.

I can relate, Its like leap frog. It gets old and the outcome is always the same. Personally, i think everyone is tired of bills, lol. Working a meaningless job day in and out, after last year, its reevaluation time. I was at dennys the other day, i swear the waitress was doing the job of 3 people. How can this last? The restaurant industry was completely using people. they would pay below minimum wage because of tips, but like this lady said, if there's no one in there, you make nothing. If you dont work, you make nothing. My last job was at a restaurant. As the expo, i was being paid 9 dollars an hour with tips....9 bucks an hour! Meanwhile the owner was telling us how his other restaurant made 4 million last year. I decided he can go run the food to the tables since he obviously gets paid well for it. I walked away. Its funny how management always says. " Give us 2 weeks so we can replace you." More often than not, once they know you are leaving, your sent home way before the 2 weeks. So if they wont give me 2 weeks to look for another job, why should I give them 2 weeks? I want meaning in what I do. Ive done the soulless, meaningless jobs, they fill nothing.

If you have solid goals for your life you won't be so quick to quit a job. I can tell you why I have had so many jobs in the last 4 years. Things happen and sometimes I work 2 jobs at once. However eventually I get burned out. In 2019 I worked at a warehouse for a year my boss was a weird man and kept saying weird jokes so I quit in Oct 2020. That same month I had a temp position for 11 months also worked fast food for 5 months in 2021. After the temp job and fast food job I had left both by August 2021 because one had expired and the other was just a POS 😂. Anyways I have been working at a bank for 4 months it's not easy but my life has a purpose and future.
