Ridicolous. I mean... Anime IS Anime, but translating IT into Real life action....... Girl maybe 12 years old at best wearing bunny years wielding hammer whitch is wrapped by electricity And can weigh around half of ton And is oversized as fck.... And she is killing gigants... There is Anime to take this logic....

The Problem Here is that people expect an Action movie and the Trailer promises an Action movie too. The actual movie is more of an Family Drama, it's about loss, fear and death and lets a Lot of space for Interpretation. So its a great movie, but the Trailer is very misleading and creates wrong expectations Now Enjoy the movie, but dont expect an Action Firework

I am victim of the trailer. My husband and I came across this on Hulu. It was a slow start, and I kept saying...please just be a fun action movie with girls actually fighting giants...please dont actually be a drama with the "is she just crazy" element....half way through I was still hoping it wasn't a "is she crazy"....the action happens but it's clearly a metaphor by the end of the movie. Very emotional. So, yeah, it's a good movie....but not at all what the trailer sells it as.

My concern is that, from the trailer at least, they've portrayed Barbara as a whiney little kid, crying about how no one believes her. In the book she is sarcastic and witty, and couldn't care less whether people believe her or not. The whole point is that she's created this impenetrable shell around herself and people are trying to break through to get in, whereas this trailer makes it look like she's screaming for attention. Completely missed the point. Such a shame, the book is great.

I think this became my top 5 ALL TIME movies. I feel sad for those that don't get it. Those giants are not fictional... they are real for her.. and she actually has to fight them everytime. But if you are in to watch some sort of a Marvel movie... it is not for you. This is an adult theme movie... and only persons that went through grief and pain can understand it. It is a 10/10 for me... I love the Director.. I love all the actors in it.It was just a great emotional experience.

Many of us already watched the beautiful movie "A monster calls" so this "I kill giants" movie is just like a ripoff. I watched them both and "I kill giants" really disappointed me. I didn't like the main character at all.

When i saw the cover of this movie, first thing came up to my mind is Cardcaptor Sakura, and i was so freakin excited. Watched movie just now and i was so hookep up. Hope hollywood create more movies like this, like Bridge to Terabithia and Where the wild things are. But i really hope hollywood will make adaptation of Cardcaptor Sakura. That is like Harry Potter version of Asia (Japan)

more like " A monster call" female edition, but with 5% giant scene, 95% teenager drama.

Reptrilian (ayyydylaooo) yeah, but just seeing a little girl holding a massive hammer thing looks so dumb and that part where's she's saying "i kill giants" or whatever it just doesn't fit

No matter who bullies you: let´s kill giants! Be a warrior! All things that live, die. This is why you must find joy in the living, while the time is yours, and not fear the end. To deny this is to deny life. To fear this... is to fear life. But to embrace this... Can you embrace this? You are stronger than you think.
