@@AidenAppleheadBut I think that they added muscle padding to make homelander look strong because in real life, anthony starr (the guy who plays homelander) didn't work out for the role, unlike jensen ackles (he plays soldier boy) and chace crawford (he plays the deep), they actually worked out to play their characters. But that's what I personally think, I don't know true the homelander part is.

He should, technically, be. He has a healing factor. He's been in numerous explosions and got his head bashed in by Soldier Boy, according to his hallucinations. There's really no reason to believe he's actually dead.

Would be cool but sadly no, Irving is guaranteed dead, and paired with that Homelander would tell as unless they changed the mask/helmet material to zinc, he would be able to see if it’s still Irving. Otherwise I do personally like the idea and want a newer Noir. The death Irving had may have been somewhat lame, but it feels more realistic for that fact. A new Noir would be just as interesting regardless.

No. After season 3 ended, Kripke said in an Interview that Vought will replace Black Noir without the public knowing by simple putting another Supe into the suit. That actor will be Nathan Mitchell again, the same guy who played him in all masked scenes from season 1-3. So no, it's not a flashback. It's simply Vought announcing the new members of the seven and all regular members (Deep, A-Train, Homelander, Black Noir) will be there for the premiere. Nothing special about it.

Is he not still alive? I get that it's insinuated Homelander killed him. However, in the flashbacks to his beatings with Soldierboy, he's laying there with his body beaten, burned, and his brains splatted all over the floor. It seems he's capable of healing very similar to Wolverine. If he could survive that, I think he could survive what Homelander did to him. This is just my speculation, but I'm interested to see.

It could be an interesting theory. However, after what Homelander did and how he basically took away his helmet, it's unlikely that Noir is still alive. I could be wrong and they have some technology to bring him back to life but honestly I feel like that would be a shallow plot device

Yeah, a clone of Homelander wouldn't work since he told Black Noir he could see his face through the mask when he asked him if he knew Solider Boy was his father. So Homelander would know immediately that Black Noir was a clone of him.

Yes because it would make more sense than the clone in the comics did. I could see it being something Vaught does as a last ditch effort to take out homelander, but in the comic it kinda made very little sense. Like I understood it but it felt like something the writer just threw in but with the way things have gone in the show it could be way more realistic to see Vaught doing something like this

In the comics, Black Noir is a back-up clone of Homelander, who is meant to take out Homelander if he gets out of control. Black Noir tricked Homelander into thinking he (Homelander), did terrible things like eating babies, etc., and then showing him the recordings to make 100% sure that he did those heinous acts himself, but his mind blocked those memories. After finding out the truth, Homelander and Buthcher confronted Black Noir. Black Noir ended up killing Homelander, but he was mortally wounded in the exchange. After that, Butcher finished him off with a crowbar through the eye socket/brain. Then squished said brain between his fingers.

I think it would make for a killer storyline if the black noir that we know actually did survive, but vought thinks otherwise and tries to replace him, leaving the old noir as a completely third party threat and wildcard to both homelander AND the boys due to their relationship with soldier boy. ESPECIALLY since he took out vought's tracking chip, because now they wont be able to keep track of him.

Vaught already showed off Sam as one of the new guardians of Godolkin so they can't just sneakily replace Black Noir with him. Also Black Noirs build was completely different. They may just reveal him as the new Black Noir, or that could easily just be from flash back scenes.

No, they’ve already said the new Black Noir will be the Same actor who has played him before only now he’ll be able to show his face. That’s why the producers had a different actor play him in the past, so now the incognito, mute, never takes his mask-off Black Noir is dead and new Black Noir is the same actor only now he’ll be able to talk and take off his mask.

Only if Homelander knows about the clone, unlike in the comics. Season 3 ended with Ervin dying by Homelander himself, so there's no way he won't know who the new Noir is, even more so since Homelander is the new head of Vought itself. Honestly i think the clone theory for the show is irrelevant, in the comics it was needed for Homelander's death, but in the show there are already a lot of ways to potentially kill Homelander: temp v, Soldier Boy, Ryan, possibly even Neuman and Marie, and who knows how powerful Starlight will get.
