We really need people like Kyle as our teachers who dont mock us but helps us to be better and comfortable being awkward. They both really worked hard and it turned out to be the best ! I wish I could do this .

Yeah... Its hard because you miss SO many good chances because of yp8r lack of confidence and because sometimes you think you wernt good enough for it anyways like you'll mess up.... And you end up hating your self because you didn't have the guts...But then you think that maybe it was for the best even though it hurt... Alot...And sometimes it makes you emotional.. because everything you went through...

I was a little teary eyed with how well she did, and so excited to see her transformation as she became more confident. When she said "it was me all along," my heart really went out to her. But then Eugene at the end had me burst out laughing, and I lost it, LOL

She took the lessons so well. As an insecure shy person I wouldve made so many self deprecating jokes, excuses, and have given up super quick. I probably wouldve cried. The eye contact thing genuinely terrified me I'm also tryna learn how to dance. And watching her look so darn good really inspired me

I don't consider myself a dancer cuz i really only know 1 full dance. but I've danced in front of my friends to be silly and they said it was good. She could really benefit from daily affirmations. I thought it was bogus or silly, but it has really helped me realize all the negative language I use on myself and changing the things you say to and about yourself really makes such a difference!

Watching this video is really interesting to see how we are all going through different journeys. I grew up dancing and being told how to look pretty/ cute and then sexy with what shoes and clothes to wear to accentuate feminine features. I went through the opposite problem with feeling over sexualized and having everyone look at me in that way but just wanting to be seen as the fun/ goofy person. I’m happy to see she got what she wanted out of this. Dancing can be a great way for expression but I will take the well balanced high top sneakers and hard beat moves any day over the club grinding music and “sexy” bunion causing heals. =P

Well i mean she's worked on a single choreography for 30 days. The teacher didn't try to teach her to dance, he tried to teach her to dance THIS dance. It's easy to learn a choreography, but it's extremely difficult to learn the dance

Cassandra Shaw same sis! i always felt really frigid (still do, but not AS much anymore) and just literally couldn’t dance for the life of me. however, watching this video motivated me to get into dancing to kpop songs as there’s so many dances and easy access to tutorials, and now ive improved so much over time of practicing.

to think from 0 experience to 30 days of practice. DAMN! You did a great job! One of my dreams is to become a dancer too, coz my heart really beats so fast whenever I dance and see myself in front of the mirror. I'm just too scared to show it publicly. I have this kind of feeling and really it kills me and makes me regret I didn't do what I wanted. :(

She had to come out of that shell and defeat her own insecurities. She could have had the best dance instructor in the world but if he hadn't gotten her to that point then she never would have felt that.

Ashly, this inspired me so much 😭 I identify with you so much, I don't own a pair of proper heels either which people were surprised by, and I really really really want to learn how to dance and I identify so much with the non-sexiness, and the awkwardness, and the frustration and getting used to my body. This helped me so much! I have dance tryouts in 2 weeks and I am self conscious about my self when dancing. I worry about what others think and get anxious then I forget everything. This made me realize it’s my body and to not care what others think. Just be yourself when dancing. Tysm!

This video is so old but I just found it now while binge watching a bunch of dance choreography videos. I’ve been wanting to dance or do something “productive” for a while but always thought I was to awkward and that it’s so late. I lacked so much self confidence and I absolutely hated my body. I still have the same problem but after watching this I feel like it’s never to late. It’s given me the motivation to go do something like take hip hop dance classes, take Zumba classes or even just exercise.

"My body wasn't a joke" I felt it so much I used to take dance classes for 5 years and I loved dancing, till one time that I danced in front of my classmates and they made fun of me, I stopped dancing and today I miss it so much. Don't let anybody make fun of what you love. I love how the background dancers during the final performance sometimes sneaked a peak at her and kinda smiled proudly seeing how she was enjoying herself. That's how I interpreted it at least :)

This video has helped me in so many ways over the past 5-6 years. I've gotten into my schools marching band and started dancing with my Satin Divas (flag girlies) and its forced me out my bubble. Loooove the confidence she gained afterwards. I was in an after-school hip-hop dance class in middle school and as shy as I was(still am) my dance teacher was always so supportive and encouraging. I wish I had continued after middle school because after seeing my nieces’ dances shows and performances, it made me realize how much I missed dancing ❤️

Ok she had the material to work with…she is just beautiful. This was so amazing to watch. I think a lot of us are inhibited when dancing or trying to be sexy when dancing. She stopped ‘trying’ and she just was. She rocked that. Next level!! Love this.

I've been dancing for ten years with jazz, tap and ballet. I am not great, I've had a lot of medical issues with my ankles and never regained my confidence in dance. I had to relearn how to dance and never was able to believe in myself because everyone else was progressing faster and was thinner. It turned something I loved into something that gave me panic attacks. I was afraid of how I looked and injuring myself again. I can not longer dance in school (senior musical theater major at my high school) as of last year but I still dance as a hobby. When I'm alone is when im able to dance freely and secure and find that love again. This really helped me by seeing your confidence. Thank you. You killed this!!!! Oh my god you look bomb, beautiful lines, and those heels!!! You're amazing.
