I learned to trippy spin, and so can you.

Aside from some time on the simulator and one or two real life attempts with a micro, this was my first session focused on the trippy spin. These are much more difficult for me in real life! Perhaps next time I'll try with a higher camera angle.

It feels so different on the SIM vs Reality, I was just trying that out yesterday and killed my quad. Anyways great training video and thanks for sharing!

I didn't realise this had that name. I did that after learning how to orbit a pole normally. Now I can orbit while rolling around to inverted orbit and back. I have only flown like 2h in real life cos only just got a quad but will wanna practise more

Throttle has less to do with it than you think. It is more in your pitch. If you master controlling and adjusting your pitch, you will be able to trippy spins with minimal throttle, and you will be able to ascend and descend in your trippy by only adjusting pitch. You won’t have to adjust throttle VelociDrone or TRYP are better simulators to practice in as the physics are closer to reality. Liftoff is more of a game than a simulator.., Floaty and slow.
@AlexGFPV
@AlexGFPV Ай бұрын
Agreed. That was my conclusion in the end of the video 👍 . The reason throttle played such a big part for me was because of my low camera angle (probably 18-20 degrees), which meant the spin had to be much more aggressive and the quad had to be much more vertical to keep the obstacle in view.

I haven't checked out either VelociDrone or TRYP, but what you said about liftoff definitely checks out haha

@@AlexGFPV I recommend VelociDrone, unless you have a gaming PC, then I recommend both TRYP and VelociDrone. They both handle a bit differently, but they are the closest to reality. I avoided VelociDrone, just because the name sounds stupid, but it as it turns out, it was the most accurate simulator , until TRYP released its latest update. Now they are tied IMO

@@AlexGFPV I’ve been working on inverted trippy spins (not an orbit, camera is pointed straight down and top of quad is angled down and towards the object) in the simulator, but it can only be done in 3D mode. Super difficult

Im so frustrated trying to learn this in the sim. I'm about ready to just cheat and flip the camera on my Avata 2 80 degrees in the air and just do a regular orbit 😂

lol that's one way to get the effect - maybe speed the footage up too. What's giving you trouble on the sim?

Nice vid bro appreciate the 2x speed, agree with the conclusions about the roll and throttle for the switch, just made my first few bucks and was wondering if you got any tips about buying a first setup?
@AlexGFPV
@AlexGFPV 29 күн бұрын
What size are you thinking of going with? My biggest tips would be invest early with transmitter and goggles (like if you know you'll stick with the hobby try and find a good deal on nice ones). At that point I'd get lots of time on the sim and then a cheap and durable setup (whoops are great I wish I had one earlier). A backyard 2 inch ripper could be great too. That being said, if you have experience and want to go straight to a cinewhoop or five inch freestyle quad (depending on your goals) it is possible to do that too, but i wouldn't recommend it to most people.

Hey how do you like the zorro to the boxer?. What do you feel you have the best control with
@AlexGFPV
@AlexGFPV 15 күн бұрын
I haven't had a chance to try the boxer unfortunately. Coming from the pocket to the zorro it is nice to have more resolution in the gimbals but i also kinda miss the short throws. I will mention that the buttons on the zorro feel like they are intended for thumbing (like the switch and button placement), whereas what i've seen of the boxer looks like it would accommodate pinching better. Both will work fine though!

I hate practicing in sim, i need to practice pinching because i fly thumb and feel im in less control maybe idk.
@AlexGFPV
@AlexGFPV 15 күн бұрын
Some people start one way and switch to the other and do way better. Pinching is great for control but sometimes i'll let my index finger come off when doing flicks and big movements because its hard to reach the full throws pinching
@JustKeepLivingFPV
@JustKeepLivingFPV 15 күн бұрын
@@AlexGFPV that's where I don't feel good flying pinch either, I feel like my pointer finger limits my thumb. Also feel like if I had a Zoro I could thumb better or pinch better.

Very nice tutorial, finally someone explaining, but how can it fly in reverse? I have an idea of how it does it, but shouldnt it require a lot of speed?
@AlexGFPV

Thanks! Do you mean reversing the direction and spinning the other way? Or how can it fly facing upwards like that?

A question brother, im learning on lift off and tryp fpv, and i have a nazgul on the way, which sim feels more realistic?
@AlexGFPV
@AlexGFPV Ай бұрын
I haven't had a chance to fly tryp yet but from what I've heard from others liftoff physics feel floaty and game-like compared to other sims. Hasn't bothered me but it feels "slower" than real life for sure.

Tryp is really realistic, it also has the Nazghul as one of the preset drones to choose for your drone in game.

@bluefpv3263
@bluefpv3263 Ай бұрын
@@AlexGFPV that depends on the angle and the copter size i would guess around 60% with 20° cam angle the higher the angle that less throttle you need it also depends how much of the obstacle you see and how big it is so if you want to have not just the tip that needs more throttle cause you are more tiled back and if its like just a tree that needs more throttle too cause the turn is narrrower i have one vid where i got dvr but its not a real trippy there im at around 25° cam angle and 50% throttle throttle is the value in the bottom right corner kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bNVxga2Et7Kymqs.html
