felt these same feelings and emotions not too long ago. but something i try to remember is that just because i’m an adult and i’ve moved away from my childhood, doesn’t mean i have to stop having fun or playing like a child. I try to continue to do the things I love and feel like a kid as often as i can. we don’t have to grow up or get boring. life can always be fun. :)

For me it's my forced isolation from my toxic and emotionally abusive mother. I never experienced what "hanging out" with friends felt like and actually "having fun". I'm always fearful and full of anxiety because of the toxicity all my life and because of that, I am socially awkward and don't know how to talk to people. People say that adult years are trash but for me now, and in my case, it's one of my brightest hopes
@daveforz

Depression is rough, no denying that, but sometimes jumping in your car and driving somewhere new makes you forget it about it momentarily, and those memories you create give you moments to look back on when the days get rough.. I’ve only ‘lived on the road’ for weeks at a time. Not in a van, but in whatever car I had at the time (Corolla/Prius/etc). Those trips were definitely worth it for me. I think if every person experienced life on the road, the world would be a better place. Hope you take the jump into vanlife one day :)

Your videos make me feel an emotion I can't describe. Reminiscence for something that never happened maybe? It wouldn't make sense when put into words, but the sweetness I feel from these videos are unmatched. They have such a genuine quality. This is what KZfaq should be about, documenting moments in life and testimonials to people you love. Seeing that you posted today made me smile. I think it may has something to do with her vibes. Her videos remind me of the stereotypical american-teenage-years settings, which were at the epicentre of my youth, as I grew up with american teenage movies (and games ex. life is strange). Those movies were all about freedom, love, ingenuity, growing up in a bubble and discovering new emotions. The reminiscence for something that never happened may be connected with the nostalgia for times that didn't actually exist anywhere except in your mind. And they are distant, non-tangible. Her music choice/videography helps with that. At least, that's me. I wonder where are you from.

3:03 - 3:23 I had this exact same feeling the other day. I am four days away from finishing college and it crept up on me. I was sitting in my last lecture when I noticed that it was my last lecture as an undergraduate. Despite knowing that we don't have endless days we often treat life as such. I only notice "my last days" when they're happening, which I guess is still better than not noticing. During the last week I had my last time in the library, my last walk home from college, and I am about to submit my final assignment. It's a weird feeling. I'll probably move out soon so there are more “lasts” coming up and many that I’ve already had without realising. Of course I can do these things again in the future but as you've said it'll be different. Quote on the right moment: “If we wait for the moment when everything, absolutely everything is ready, we shall never begin.” - Ivan Turgenev Regarding your recent tweet: I think it's the best thing you've made

I'm glad other people are going through the same thing as me. I relate to this so much since I'm graduating high school in a few weeks and I'm planing on doing a gap year next year. This is what feels right for me in this moment but I can't stop thinking about my teenage years and childhood and even though I have so many plans and I'm so exited for the future, I'm kinda scared of starting adulthood. I've never travelled on my own and it's something that I always wanted to do and I'm finally going to make it real, but having all these experiences that I've been wanting also means growing up and leaving home in a way. So I also have this bittersweet and nostalgic feeling, but I'm exited to see what the future holds :)

Natalie, it is abundantly clear that you are wise beyond your years. The changes happening in these early days of your life may feel overwhelming and challenging, but they are merely marker-stones on your million-mile path. You have so far to go. You are only just beginning. I see the same wandering adventurer in you that I had in myself when I was 24. Nothing and nobody was ever going to stop me from seeing the world and exploring new places and new things. Cherish these days of your fleeting youth, because you will never again be as young as you are right now. Happy trails! :)

I’ve been on the road for about 6 months now, I to went through a similar realization when I was leaving my childhood town. You expressed that so beautifully in this video. I just wanna tell you that what waits on the other side of what your leaving behind, is beyond your wildest imagination. I’m so excited for you guys and I wish the both of you well on your journey. Much love to you, from a kindred spirit! 💜🙏💜

So good! This is probably my favorite video you've made. They just keep getting better and better! This one really resonated with me because I've been wanting to leave my hometown, but this film made me realize that I will definitely miss a lot when I move somewhere else. I take a lot for granted, and I need to cherish the time I have left here. So thanks for helping me realize that :) I hope the van trip is awesome!

I just graduated last year and experienced a ton of the same feelings about all the changes in my life. Everyone going in different directions is bittersweet as you put it, but there's definitely something special about seeing the people you love grow and change in new ways. On another note I am buying a van next week, hopefully setting off on a similar adventure soon. Good luck, Cheers!

this just touched my heart on a whole different level. I am two days away from moving out of my parents house, leaving my hometown and the people and things i’ve grown up with. Bittersweet is the perfect word. Sometimes I feel like I can’t connect my old life and my new life that’s about to immerse, but man I am so glad that I am not alone in feeling all of these big emotions. Thank you for this video ♥️

Your editing skills are on point. I love the timing of the frames that change with the music. Music itself is great too. My son is around your age and I wish he had your passion to travel and take on projects. Makes me with is was 28 again. Build a van and do the same traveling. Keep up the good work. We all support you and your journey.

I'm so glad you are posting new videos. I've stumbled upon your channel two months ago - with the van video. And then watched all the videos from the beginning. It's great to see how you've evolved from great to an amazing storyteller. But then... there was no new video for a while, and I've thought that van life simply consumed you. But here it is... a new video. Yay! I love your stories. And even though I can't relate that much... watching it makes me pause and reflect on my own life. Thank you for that.

This video from an artistic perspective is beautiful, and this is what the internet was made for. But watching this video really made me realize all the stuff i missed out on in my teens so far, seeing you with friends. I’m on my 3rd high school since starting high school and i haven’t made any friends. During this time i have had a long battle with mental health. But seeing this brought a smile to my face and I know its not all been bad. And when you think about it there is no traditional high school experience. Everyone has just a “high school experience”

This is all I want to do. I'm on my last 7 months of high school and all I want is to finish and see the world. Living in the same town my whole life, never once moving has really made me want to see the world. Along with all the lockdowns got me thinking about how grateful we are to be able to have these modes of transportation and how at any moment it can be stripped away from us, which is exactly what happened with lockdown. I've been subscribed to your channel for years now, and each video brings me joy, so much motivation and inspiration.

By they i love you that you are so open about mental health and life doubts and crisis, this something we all go thought many times in life, yet is very common to forget to talk about it and people rarely talks openly about this matters, thank for make people relate to you too in this aspect, even if its just a way for too process it, this can help many people out there.
