You could & should have both applauded; Tom Jones is a world- reknown artist & performer. He left his hey-day to salvage his marriage, plain & simple. His massive celebrity took its toll. Too, there's this: Many great singing artist's are often actors while they perform; they don't have to have 'lived' everything they sing about...

He’s one of the greats without a doubt. Even if that’s not your style of music usually, there’s no denying his greatness. Talent is talent.

Tom was married at 16 to his first love and they were together until she sadly died from cancer in 2016. By the way Sir Tom is now 83 and still touring and doesn't sound very much different (June 2023). .

Thank you! The great Welshman sings and blows everyone off the stage. He actually was nicknamed “The Voice” so it is interesting that he is on The Voice TV show. Amazing performer who can sing ballads, soul, R&B, Pop and switch between genres easily. The tone and power in his voice was considered very unique and it is amazing that he is still singing, recording and touring today.

This Living Legend is a truly gifted artist and what a pair of powerful lungs he has been blessed with, and STILL going strong well into his 80's. Having his son take over as his dad's manager was a turning point and helped him turn his career into a different direction and saved him from just becoming a caricature of his former self, its a pity that his son doesn't get the recognition that he deserves.

You need to react to the magic moment where Peter Dunigan the son of the man who wrote this song for Tom appeared on the voice UK. It ended with Tom and Pete duetting this song together, very magical emotional moment.

In his 80's, Sir Tom still has it. Look up the "Voice" clip when he & Jennifer Hudson riff together on "A Man's World". He was and will always be amazing. (Also look for his video "Sex Bomb" - also when he was a bit older)

Until the late 1970's, this music was recorded on 8 inch magnetic reel -to-reel analog tape. If you are lucky to get the chance, listening to this music on 78 rpm vinyl with vacuum tube amplifiers and period speakers creates a warmer sound than digital equipment. The sound is softer. Used McIntosh vacuum tube amplifiers are beyond the reach of most people.

Good reaction my friend....I hace seen your reactions to Dimash, the best male singer of the world...The passion and dedication when interpreting a song can only be compared with the person who has influenced him to sing leaving everything on stage: His idol, the queen, the incomparable Lara Fabian, the original writer and singer of Adagio....Lara is the best female singer and performer of the world...She is a lyric soprano with a amazing vocal range and incredible breath control, which is one of the things that Dimash admires the most about Lara....You will love her cover of Caruso because the same Lucio Dalla had said that Lara's version is the best ever....She speaks 5 languages and sings like in 12 languages....That's why she is the inspiration for Dimash and several singers around the world...You can see on KZfaq covers of her songs made by singers of the stature of: Dimash, Diana Ankudinova, Floor Jansen, Morissette Amon, Gabriel Henrique, Katrina Velarde, Cakra Khan and others...Please react to her songs, all masterpieces, in LIVE versions, because Lara is more impressive when she sings live, so you can see why she is the idol of Dimash...Try to do it in this order and almost all songs are from the same Lara’s concert “From Lara With Love” in Montreal 1999, one of her best works: 1) Je Suis Malade (Singing in French)...2) Caruso (Singing in Italian)...3) Je T'AIME (2002 Live version in Paris Singing in French)...4) Perdere L'Amore (1999 Live version Singing in Italian)...5) Adagio (1999 Live version singing in english)...6) Broken Vow (1999 Live version singing in English)...7) You are Not From Here (1999 Live version singing in English)...8) Quédate (1999 Live version singing in Spanish)....9) Ti Amo Cosi (2019 Live version Singing a trío with Dimash and Aida Garifullina)....Thank you.

Loved this reaction guys, perfectly crafted lyrically, obviously stunning vocals and the arrangement is superb and back then that would have been a proper orchestra backing him, no digitally or synthesised instruments in sight. As others have mentioned check out Peter Donegan on The Voice UK, his father was a singer/songwriter back in the 60’s and wrote I’ll Never Fall In Love Again for Tom. After Peter had auditioned an Tom turned his chair around Peter introduces himself which led to him and Tom singing I’ll Never Fall In Love Again, check it out guys. Tom is now 81 and I’ve read he’s currently touring. And check this out, something totally different from Tom, 11 year ago aged 70 doing a cover of John Lee Hooker’s Burning Hell, enjoy!! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/p69_a91l3rWlaKs.html

I don’t dislike Tom Jones, but there were MANY more “crooners” from the 50’s and 60’s who I liked much more. I especially loved (still do) Nat King Cole. Some of my favorites of his were Unforgettable, the Way You Look Tonight, Mona Lisa.
