Hocus Pocus Reaction is today's video! Hey everyone! Join me as I watch Hocus Pocus for the first time today!
After moving to Salem, Mass., teenager Max Dennison (Omri Katz) explores an abandoned house with his sister Dani (Thora Birch) and their new friend, Allison (Vinessa Shaw). After dismissing a story Allison tells as superstitious, Max accidentally frees a coven of evil witches (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy) who used to live in the house. Now, with the help of a magical cat, the kids must steal the witches' book of spells to stop them from becoming immortal.

One of my favorite movies! You are in for a treat! Fun fact: The actor who played Thackery Binx is the actor who plays McGee in NCIS. The voice of Binx was provided by the voice actor of Max from A Goofy Movie. :)

The Sanderson sisters are just like the Three Stooges. Winifred is Moe, the angry leader who claims to be smarter than the other two, but is really just very bossy. Mary is Larry, the "straight man" of the group, the most level-headed, but still a doormat and follows orders, and the one that tries to calm down the leader when they get too upset. And Sarah is Curly, the idiotic punching bag of the group, and a perfect foil to the leader when they constantly butt heads, but is too innocent minded to understand everything that's happening. 😆🤣😂

I really love the Hocus pocus movie it is very funny and hilarious. Considering that Sarah Sanderson can use her hypnotic singing voice to hypnotize children to their doom, she is more like the siren of her sisters.

Fun fact about Hocus Pocus: When the sisters sang “I Put a Spell on You” they actually put a spell on the audience so that’s why at the end of the movie, they stopped dancing cause the spell was for them too dancing forever.

Fun Fact: A year before this, the same director Kenny Ortega directed his first film, Newsies! You should watch that too! It’s criminally underrated! 😎 And yes, that IS the same Kenny Ortega who later created High School Musical!

Thank you so much for this! You have definitely made my day! Sarah Jessica Parker was said to had an ancestor named Esther Elwell, one of the women accused of being a witch during the Salem Witch Trials. After a young girl said she saw Esther’s “spectre” strangling neighbor Mary Fitch, Elwell was arrested, but escaped going to trial. If you loved Thora Birch, Dani, I recommend Monkey Trouble, it’s about a girl and a kleptomaniac monkey, and Alaska. For Kathy Najimy, I recommend Sister Act and Sister Act 2 with Whoopi Goldberg and Maggie Smith. For Bette Midler, I must recommend The First Wives Club, Drowning Mona, and Oliver and Company. 💚❤️💜📖👁🕯🐈‍⬛🎃

You missed it when Max said I summon the Burning rain of Death. Then he triggered the fire alarm sprinkler system with ”fire from his hand” so basically he tricked them with modern age technology

Hocus Pocus is by far my favorite Halloween movie. To me it's perfect because it actually takes place on Halloween, it has that 90s nostalgic feel to it, it's creepy but not too scary, it's funny, it's emotional in some parts, the music is great, and it involves 3 great witches and witches are my fav Halloween characters. Love this movie so much.

I grew up watching this movie. This is my favorite movie of all time I even named my cat Binx after this movie. In august it will be 2 years since I put Binx down. It’s been so hard to watch this movie since I lost him but I still love this movie ❤

Such a great classic. I'm sure you'll enjoy the second one, too. Don't listen to the haters who say it's garbage; it may not punch as hard as the original, but that's because Disney in 2022 can't do what Disney in 1993 got away with. It's still the same level of cornball fun.

When I was 8 in the late 80's, I trick or treated by myself. I lived in a suburb where the kids went trick or treating in the early afternoon around 1 PM. Never went trick or treating in the dark so it was normal for kids to go alone. Also it was the 80's so we had more freedom than kids today.

For those of you who don't know hocus pocus 2 is not the first sequel there was actually a book titled hocus pocus and the all new sequel which follows again the main characters and has more backstory for the witches.

Great reaction on one of my favorite Halloween themed family movies I grew up with. Monster House is pretty good as well. Since it’s October I’m recording gameplays to the Resident Evil 2 Remake which is a 2019 video game for PS4, and Xbox One, that’s a remake of the 1998 PS1 game. In this game you can play as either Leon Kennedy or Claire Redfeild and it’s a horror survival game that takes place in a police station. One of my favorite horror video games and one of my favorite games period. It’s great to play in October. Gameplay Part 3 is uploading right now and Gameplay Part 4 is pre recorded.

I loved this movie growing up, I watch it almost every Halloween. I just watched the sequel and it was AMAZING! Faster paced then the old Disney movies and so funny! I highly recommend it =D

Would you consider doing a reaction to Orphan and the prequel Orphan first kill? Those two movies are my favorite! Orphan came out in 2009 while Orphan first kill came out this year!

“I guarantee this is not the real Satan…” LOL. Ya think? Though, I suppose in your defense, the movie _is_ centered around 3 _real_ witches. However, none of _them_ are wearing pajamas. Soooo… yeah. Hahahaha. Having said that, I’m only about halfway through and you *really* seem to be enjoying yourself quite a bit thus far. And for everyone who’s a big fan of this movie, we *LOVE* to see it!! Fun fact: When a spell mentions something to do with a virgin, they're actually referring to someone who's blood hasn't been tainted by another supernatural ritual. Literally ANYONE could've lit that candle.

I have such an odd relationship with this movie. Don't get me wrong, I watch it every Halloween without fail, normally with some friends (and a not insignificant number of drinks on hand), but to be honest, the only things in this movie I can truly say I enjoy unironically are the witches, and Billy. And that's it. The rest is pure ironic enjoyment

I don't know if you've ever heard this but growing up watching this all the time and then years later when I was in NCIS fan I was told that Tim McGee was in it and I was like who the f*** was he and I misunderstood who they said he was playing but then when I rewatched it I was like oh s*** he wasn't it but he wasn't who I thought they said yeah he was Zachary Banks who ended up in the body of the cat I was thinking they were saying he was the brother the Virgin who lit the Black candle no he was the brother of the girl who was killed by the witches

Maybe when this first came out and I was a child I might have found this to be a horror movie this is not horror but it's not a horror movie I watch it pretty much every year but I don't have streaming so I don't know if I'll ever get to see the sequel so I'll probably get to see it through your reaction kind of a cliff notes version By the way I just googled it this came out when I was 12!

You see the way you present yourself on your reactions it seems like you're the type of guy who could not handle watching horror movie like it would be a lot for you cuz you seem to really prefer the light-hearted kid type movies but it does make sense that you don't react to horror movies not because you don't like them but because you do you've already seen them so if it's a new horror movie that just came out we should suggest it

It is kind of weird though how the witches could curse the boy with eternal life and turn him into a cat but they can't just grant themselves eternal life they have to steal life from children so I wonder how many kids worth of lives they had to steal to put into that cat unless they were just able to brew it for him and it was some sort of thing like Dr facilier I can't conjure a thing for myself

Little fun fact Dani's actress was in 1 or 2 seasons of The Walking Dead as a character called Gamma but she may or may not have met a gruesome end eventually btw Cody don't even waste your time or money on Hocus Pocus 2 it actually has a ton of bad reviews & ratings & it's woke & anyone who wants to disagree with me on that you can all you want but you'll always be wrong & just look up the reviews & ratings on it & the truth will be revealed
