Illegal arrivals themselves throw their documents into the sea, destroy them so as not to be able to check them, and most of them are criminals released from overcrowded prisons, recently a scandal came out that Morocco does this and 20,000 people were released from prisons and helped them get to Europe.

They practice more in secret than people know and put on a facade for the outside world. That goes for any culture, really not just the more famous ones. The true assimilation takes hold when the children understand the counties' culture and values that the parents or grandparents have moved to, especially in regards to women's rights. If my first-generation family had their way, I would have had no rights and been married off to whomever would they would choose. That's not fair, I wanted to and did marry for love like the West promises in its fairy tales. "Some day your Prince will come," and he did for me. He had to help me escape my family cult so I could marry him. I mean, just look at how they use religion to ban the telling of stories about pigs because they don't like them? How silly is that? Your child (not assuming you have any and if you don't, just imagine anyone you care about and imagine their children) they can not hear a story or nursery rhyme about piglets that has been around for thousands of years because someone might take offence? How is that not insane and a problem? You do make a good point for a portion of the population that is immigrating that is not practising, though. Those aren't who I speak about. They are a result of the original cultures' oppression instead of assimilation. When you say okay, fine, let's take out the pig nursery rhymes, that's reasonable and comprimise.
