So I'm almost 62 years old. I have Heart Failure since I was 49 years old. I just spent a couple hours playing edrums along with Tommy Johansson KZfaq videeos while watching my heart rate go up and down on my fitbit. Love the videos, the musicality, THE VOICE, and how he makes all these covers amazing. If I die, I'll die smiling. You have a fan here in Montreal, Canada.

he makes my heart beat fast as well. sorry for your condition. may god's special angel tommy help you heal. i have a fibroid tumor now and i first discovered him day 1 of my diagnosis. was sad about it cause i thought it was cancerous, didnt know a thing about it. then his phantom vid came up on my recommended. subscribed that day and have been hooked ever since

It's a European thing kai Hanson who Is considered the so called God father of power metal liked mixing different genres too and by the way Europeans call it melodic metal not power metal or symphonic metal. They just play what they like. And kai did with gamma ray an awesome version of pet shop boys it's a sin. And by the way I used to cover journeys separate ways too back around 2005 but when I did it I mixed it up more kinda with some Bruce Dickenson meets Rob Halford maybe with some kai hansen Freddy mercury thrown in. I remember just wanting to make the vocals for me a bit more edgy while keeping the melodic structures of the original ans adding a Rob Halford high at the end with the no part. And this was 2 years before Andre Matos. Of angra covered it but I have to say I Like a lot what Tommy Johansen has done with this song and journeys seperate ways amongst many other songs too. And I am not just talking vocally either but musically. And you have to remember back in 2005 I was busting my butt just wanting to do what I wanted but all the American musicians were enthralled with so called trendy metal. Where I liked the European thing. It's just nice that this kind of music is cool again with guitars in standard tune and good cool sounding vocals that can still have an edge like Bruce and Rob Halford and Freddy mercury did for years and guys like kai Hanson fought to keep alive in the 1990s and early 2000s along with the hamerfall guys and ralph sheepers.

I didn't hear the original song, Just clicked on this because Tommy made the cover and I am glad I did, My mother passed away in FEB 2023 and I actually saw her in my dream in MAR 2023 praying for me... God bless you Tommy for making this cover as it brings back a lot of memories... The vocals, The Chorus voice pitches, The clean screaming and that Guitar part starting at 02:29 is so emotional and sad...

Sch.ß, warum habe ich seinen Gesang erst heute entdeckt? Bei Sabaton ist er doch zu sehr "im Hintergrund." Da ist er mir kaum aufgefallen. Sein Wirken in den anderen Gruppen war mir unbekannt. Great song! I was a member of Giants Fan Club back in the day.. when you actually had to write to an address and if you pay w/ a money order you get some swag.. A letter from Dann thanking me for becoming a member etc. I also got like a Giant " backstage pass" and a couple guitar picks and an autographed photo of the band and a copy of their new upcoming cassette single from Time To Burn, the two songs were Time to Burn and an acoustic version of Stay, I think. It was pretty cool. Cause it was before the album was released.

This song is a kind of AOR masterpiece. Giant band is one of the most underrated band ever, but for AOR fans is one of the best ever. Dan Huff is amazing songwriter, composer, producer and first of all guitarist. I am one of the freaking AOR music fans. Tommy you made my day. Fortunately you didn't try to copy that song 1/1. Keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to hear new covers. Already proposed Mitch Malloy but ... maybe something Tyketto or ... Def Leppard "Have you ever needed someone so bad" ?

It’s chills, goosebumps and the whole hoopla listening to this. I remember when a friend handed me the copy of this album thinking I should get into it. Played it nonstop, of course. And you nail not only the vocals but all the tones and production as well. Plus that soaring solo. Devil be like “No one can pull this off”. Tommy be like “Hold my beer…” A w e s o m e!

Ohhh I was totally obsessed with this song as a kid (I was born a little rocker). The song is sooo sentimental to me. Thank you for doing it justice. Giant were a pretty good band in their day & I’m sure they’d love your cover. Keep ‘em coming Tommy 🤟😎🤟

It was an unexpected choice of song, but a very pleasant one. You picked the best from their best album (at least for me) and you just made it your own. If that is not true talent, then I don't know what is. Holy crap, man! I had goosebumps upon goosebumps throughout the entire song! Especially on the chorus! Also that guitar tone right there, both clean and lead, was freaking incredible! Along with your mesmerizing voice and stellar performance and that's how gems are delivered. This is the Tommy way! Dear Tommy, when i saw the title of your video on friday morning, i listened to the original song because i had heard it a very long time ago. 👂 And at noon I was here for the premiere. I have to repeat myself again: this song also got better than the original. 🙏👍 Slowly you should release a record of these songs.
