Tommy, I dont know if you see this comment, but I loved Gary Moore in my youth and he made a significant inpact in my life, particularly with this song. I believe he did masterpiece with great many peope regardless of age. To me personally it means memories but to new generations I hope it means hope. Continue your mission Tommy!

Not to be rude to Tommy because this is a fucking fantastic performance but this is a cover of Gary Moore’s live performance in stockholm in 1987. Tommy sings much better but that guitar solo at the end from gary is fucking unreal. Tommy does it justice though. Just saying credit has to go to Gary for playing this for the first time too.

This song came out about the time the father of my oldest child died. He never wanted to be part of her life and trying to not hurt her when she asked about him was difficult. He had such talent, humor, and could have lived so much more of a life than he did. He died of an overdose in an abandoned building far away from his family and tribe. Every time I hear Empty Rooms I think of him and so many others who never reached their potential because they chose empty, destructive paths in life.

@@ReinXeed I saw Gary Moore 1983 in the St.Galler Openair in Switzerand. He came with a black limousine, black Sunglaces (in the Evening!😎speak no Word, pluged in with no Soundcheck!) I never forget the Sound and the feeling that this man spread with his presence. And the when i heard you play that Song, it took me back to 1983. God bless you!!!

Hard to believe this song is 40 years old - this is just as fresh today. One of the best ballads ever written, and this performance is just sublime. More GM covers please - you more than do these 80s wonders justice and I was there for the originals! Fabulous. Thank you.

Tommy, once again you absolutely blow our minds with an INCREDIBLE cover of a true classic from Gary Moore. Having loved your music for so many years now, I can honestly say I've NEVER heard such poignant, powerful, and PURE emotion coming from your playing. This song is not a speed metal shred fest, but rather a lovely mid-tempo slower rocker ballad where the notes are left to hang in the air for nice effect and fill the void with beautiful, majestic mountains of sound. What a beautiful cover and a sweet tribute to one of the greatest guitar players to ever grace our world.
