I love to hear Harry secombe singing, but in this case Mario Lanza wins hands down.

I hope you have viewed mine rather than 'thinking' I have copied yours. I had a choice of three ..... Mario's..... the best of course, Domingo's which is superb, or Sir Harry's which is timeless and a tad more modern. As it is for use at a special event for a particular person who preferred Sir Harry's... I used this one. View it please before making insinuations...... I do NOT own the voice I merely used it with my own selection of pictures..... and YOU ---- what did you do? Blessings

Good singing but the song belongs to mario Lanza

How anybody with a soul can take such a beautiful piece of music with the lyrics of a prayer and destroy it with this arrangement is beyond me. If it weren't for Sir Harry Secombe this would be rubbish.

there is a better recording of this on an album called bless this house released on the warwick label in my opinion it is far superior to the mario lanza version this sadly is not it

This is appallingly recorded with an idiotic tempo, balance and choral accompaniment. This is an anthem! Sir Harry remained in fine voice to the end - but the producer almost successfully smothered it. Sir Harry remains excellent despite sabotage.

How can they "pop-up" a song with such a serene message. Saved by Harry Secombe otherwise rubbish

Lanza owns this classic song and always will. Harry had a "nice" voice but not in the same league as Mario. The pop arrangement is appalling too
