I’ve lost 70lbs in 5 months by just changing a few things in my life. Food unfortunately is an addiction and I love it but I had to change the way me and food interact. I’m not there yet when it comes to fasting but it’s something I’m working towards. I know I have to buckle down and go even harder to lose this next 30lbs. Channels like this are extremely necessary and important to the people like me who every time I hit a plateau I get frustrated and think about quitting but then I get a notification of a new Finally Fasting Video and Jerome is preaching about why we shouldn’t give up and that it’s ok to be imperfect along the way. I just want to say thank you 🙏🏽 Jerome for sharing your journey and that I’m praying for US all as we continue on our journey to becoming more Healthy!

Carnivore is the easiest way to lose weight for me, lost 50 lbs of fat in 3 months, didn’t really exercise, eat as much as I want, am never hungry, have lots of energy. Beef Bacon Butter Eggs Salt Water.

What is he debunking? Water/bloating can contribute quite a bit to weight gain and loss, especially when you go relatively low carb to very high carb, as was done here with eating whatever he wanted, then fasting.

@LauraB.335 There are a number of people who feel discouraged after fasting for let’s say, 3 days, refeed, gain 3-4lbs and feel like their fasting was all for nothing. Bloat is nothing new or special, but the message to those who are unaware (or who need to be reminded) can be helpful imo

I'm 37 hrs into a 68 hr fast watching this. I notice the water weight was shed much easier for you this time around!! That's definite proof that you weren't gaining fat and putting on literal pounds when you were eating back to back days. It's definitely a major mind reliever to be able to go on vacation and enjoy it without the usual stress and anxiety knowing you can just reset and start the extended fasting clock again when you get home. I have vacation in August for 8 days and I'm looking forward to it. I'm eating ghirardellis AT LEAST twice on this trip😂😂😂😂 Proud of you as always for sticking to the process Jeromey Rome!! ❤❤🎉🎉

It is hard for me to fast. Because i am addicted to food and it is like food is the only thing that keep me sane and relax a bit throughout the day😢. A boring 8 to 5 day with no one to talk to.... likee... all i think about is food. I am so tired

I'm a food addict too but have managed to fast for 48 hours before. My advice would be to fast as long as you can and add 1 hour everyday. You will surprise yourself eventually.

That’s really good news, glad to hear so much weight dropped off. I was really curious to see how that would work out for you since I’m planning a vacation next month and I know I’m going to be eating garbage for about a week. So it was kind of cool to see what you were going through, I think the key is to start fasting immediately after the vacation, which normally I would’ve never done.

Great job with your 90 hour fast after your vacation! 🔥 This is very insightful to see how your body reacts to it and the conclusions you made from this experience (the speed at which you lost a big chunk of that extra weight being water weight makes sense. It's understandable that people not knowing this fact might get discouraged. That's why I personally weigh myself at the beginning of every month only 😅). I'm taking notes! 😁👍 I just finished my 4 hour re-feed for my 3rd 90 hour (and 46 minutes) fast for the month of July 2024 as I am writing this comment (I estimated my calorie intake to be ~2700 kcal, but there was lots of carbs in there... the Ice tea 0.5L bottle, 5 grilled toasts, and Chinese restaurant noodles takeout had most of those carbs). Now, on to my 4th 90 hour fast of July immediately! 💪🔥 Next re-feed will be on Monday for me, I will transition to a Keto re-feed (no carbs, high protein and animal fat, + green vegetables)... and then full Carnivore diet for the last few re-feeds of July. I think it will give me good results 🥰. Thanks for the inspiration Jerome! Take care 🙏

When you did the side view and rubbed your belly, it was apparent that below the surface skin was a VERY swollen abdomen. Inflammation and fluid retention are real. Congrats on the good fast as weight drop. God bless.

Working to digest all that food, you were feeling a thermalgenetic heat from burning off that food. High inflamatoy oils, dairy, iodized salt, and sugar/high fructose corn syrup shocked the body after fasting, causing your cells to create a barrier to suspend all the toxins for the foods aka water weight gain. Depending on how clear the elimination path ways are could need several good bowel movements too.

It was mostly water weight and that is why it drops off so fast. You probably only gained 4-5 pounds actual fat. 1 pounds of fat is roughly 3500 calories for the math. 14 pounds of actual fat (3500 calories per pound) means you would have burned close to 50,000 calories in 3 days lol. So these swings in weight are clearly the result of the large influx of sodium and now the sodium is leaving so you are shedding all that excess water weight you put on from that radical shift in diet for those 6 days.

I just did a 76 hr fast and ate for 2 hrs about 1000 calories. I am rolling to do a 48 maybe a 60 cuz that 72 area was haaard to do. You have the best motivation channel for fasting. Everything you talk about and your demeanor is great. Thx so much I am on my wat to lose 100 lbs in 7 months goal from today.

It's just water that your bodies stored because you ate high carbohydrate food. From memory, the body stores around 4g of water for every 1g of carbs eaten. I gained 6kg after a camping trip where I ate bread, drank alcohol etc. By the next wk of just eating carnivore, only I was back down 6kg.

But I think he actually gained 5 lbs of fat. This little dude can eat. I am a much bigger man, about 6 ft tall and more than 200 lbs heavier, and it would take a total pig out at a place like Golden Corral for me to reach 5- or 6,000 calories in a day. If he was eating 5,000+ calories a day on vacation, that could easily indicate a 5 lb gain in 6 days. I am not criticizing at all, because he has pretty much achieved his goal, and I have not -- just pointing out that his gain was probably not all water. Vacation is vacation, I totally get it. It doesn't make sense to be super strict about a diet on vacation.

You’re absolutely right @Tes7000. It’s definitely a lot of water retention but there’s definitely fat added from the excess I ate back-to-back days. The sole reason I can’t eat often because my caloric intake is just so much.

Hi FF. Started my first extended fast last night. Im used to OMAD and have done 3-day fasts before. But I want to go extreme this time. I have my supplements ready to go. I think the carbs are making you hungry and you need to fast to keep the weight down? Wouldnt it be easier to break the fast with avocado or some keto food. No carbs?

@@GEllis-uh2hn Most likely autophagy from prolonged period of water fasting (tightens the skin since it recycles old skin cells/old protein) + lifting weights to gain muscle (that fills the void left by the fat being burned here)

Any advice for diabetes or insulin resistance? My sugar tanks real bad when i fast for to long its extremely hard for me to lose weight 😪 on ozempic only 5 pounds in 3 months 😢

I mean I’m a T2D with insulin resistance. If your sugar tanks when you fast for too long, break. Go again. If you have 50lbs to lose the practice of imperfect consistency can do wonders 🙏🏽

What happens to you when your sugar tanks? When I fast my sugars get in the 50s but that doesn't matter or hurt you because you are running on fat and ketones. It is only dangerous for type 1 diabetics

OK so I lost consciousness at the park the other day I was at dog park I got dizzy nausea and Felt an aura thank God my friend next to me had a monster drink she told me that she poured it down my throat and I came back to life I was sweating and extremely pale I still feel weak days later I have a doctor appointment Monday and this happened twice to me the first time it was m and Ms that saved me both times I was fasting I literally almost died

I'm getting off the ozempic and I have no idea what's going on im making an appointment with a weight loss doctor to im terrified to take anything ever again or fast I used to be able to without anything like just eat dinner I could of had both low pressure and low sugar it was absolutely terrifying I had to call my boyfriend to pick us up I left my car
