Glad to see a video for you. Sucks you lost some tapes due to mold. Now I have to go thru my collection and check my tapes

Glad to see you back on the tube! I'm sure your aware but in case you're not, there's ways to get rid of the mold. Nothing is full proof of course but I've seen someone make a vid and save a ton of them. Great vid but wish it was without the mold part. I have a few I'm going to try and save 💪🔥

Thanks! Yeah, if I knew someone who set up a VCR as a cleaning station, I’d definitely give it a shot. Watched a video of someone with a nice cleaning setup, but after running it through it still didn’t remove it all. If one of my ultra rare VHS ever gets it, I probably would do something to try and save it.

Hey, Rob!! Good to see a video, dude. Sorry you lost a few tapes, good thing you're doing some spring cleaning. Were any of the 7 tapes you lost ones you were planning on putting in your clear cases?

Yeah, Pumpkinhead and the MCA Halloween II were destined for my private reserve VHS shelf…lol I didn’t have any trouble filling their spots though. My private reserve is maxed out at 112 tapes. I just need to alphabetize them now!

I would save your cases and toss the tapes. In case you find a copy with bad artwork and a mint tape . Just a bought

The only way I’d feel good about doing it is if I had an RTI TapeChek machine. If I ever lose a really rare/valuable tape to mold, I’d give it a shot though. Have you cleaned them before? What method do you use?
