Levy did not even know it was you he was playing against till after the game. He's got this plugin to hide the name of the player he's facing. Seems he plays much better when he's completely blind about who he's going against. The other day he drew Grishuk doing the same thing.

Everytime lmao. Makes me want to trash talk even more.
@PAPPADASHАй бұрын
I talk mad trash when I play I'm 1100 1200 blitz, and 1300 rapid, would be a lot higher rapid prolly 1400 easy but I don't play much rapid. Anyway I talk mad trash. Everytime someone hangs a queen I say "Is that book?" When people over extend their queen I'll say "Whats your queen doing there? Bringing it to show and tell?" When people are aggressive "I tell em why so aggressive?" Then when I beat a hyper aggressive player I say "Clinical" "that was a lesson on how to dismantle hyper aggression" "the first lessons free" "hopefully you took notes, write it down in your diary tonight" I talk mad trash most games. Chess needs trash talk it would make it 100 times better spectator sport if people were allowed to just talk trash during classical matches. It would bring eyeballs followed by sponsorship and money.

@@MKZ3003 Levy easily has GM level potential according to most grandmasters I have seen talk about it, he just needs to work on the mental game and not get psyched out, and it seems he's been using an extension to hide who he is playing during the online games lately so while he knew it was a strong player he had no idea it was Hans until the game was over, as such he was able to concentrate and play to his actual potential, plus he's been playing really well lately.

Levy is no pushover. His Fantasy variation keeps the position quite fluid and that's unusual for many Caro-Kann players. It's somewhat like Tal springing the Ng1-e2-f4 or Ng1-h3-f4 against Botwinnik in their 1960 world championship match. He liked little surprises in the opening to keep his opponents working and using clock time. At heart, I think he was a blitz player and the clock and the initiative were very important to his evaluation of things. Hans is obviously more comfortable with a somewhat stable position, as his great performances with Black in a closed Sicilian show. So, learning to play other kinds of pawn structures will be a challenge for sure. It was expected (to some extent) against Vidit, but didn't really happen. Generally, the Classical-Morphy idea is to have a "castle" for the king and EVERYTHING else is in flux. With no stable lines on the battlefield there are no sieges of pawns, only on the king, and that makes tactics critical (one of Levy's best qualities) and double-attacks or some kinds of surprising forcing variations.

I think the fact Levi played this match without knowing who it was really helps him keep a cool head and not choke. It actually looked like nerves got the better of Hanns because it was Levi
