That “STOHPPP ITTT” was personal, and I felt it! Every single time I have my hair and makeup nicely done, my husband comes along and starts kissing my cheeks and face. I playfully bat him away too, but obviously love it. ❤ But he’s learnt to be super gentle now, so he barely moves any makeup and I think that’s progress. 😂

@@Beojkkoch_Capybara Oh, I meant it the other way around! Her profession is beauty and fashion, as well as content. She also appears to film most of her content at home. So I bet her partner had to have seen/heard her makeup work for hundreds of hours, I guess I would have just expected him to have slightly more informed opinions than pointing and choosing rather randomly. I completely agree with you, I WANT men to really engage with their partner's work (I wouldn't call the makeup a hobby here, as she is very successful in monetizing this, which I am so happy about). I do not think this video plays up the 'me boy, me no know about girl stuff' as much as SO MANY other 'boyfriend does my makeup' videos do, but I've seen so many of them where the boyfriend has wildly uninformed opinions, and so I have come to feel like the genre as a whole rather belittles women's work and reinforces the idea men should not know much about it. For context, I'm a woman who works in a traditionally male field, so my partners have displayed the complete opposite behavior, they rush to show me how much of my work they understand, almost kinda puff up and act like they are the bigger expert (even though none of my partners were, because they are not professionals in my field). So I completely agree, taking part in her work is great, I just wish the guy acted like he knew a bit more, and men were more PROUD to act like they know a lot about 'feminine' work. 🙂 I understand how you could have read it the other way, so I wasn't clear!!
