Which is easier ? Winning the SPL,or finishing 5 in the Prem, Well done Ange,when a manager comes from the SPL,and Celtic,you don't know how good they are because they are not tested ! Every manager who has managed Celtic loves them because its money for old rope !
@Doc702Ай бұрын
You are definately missing the point. I'm not going to argue that the SPFL doesn't have ot's limitations it clearly and obviously does, but it's not about the Scottish league. They don't love Celtic because they can win trophies every year, they love them because they are a unique club with unrivalled passion, an institution, a club like no other you will ever find. You could travel the world looking for that and nothing would ever come close, I promise you....and I think St. Angelos is finding that out at Spurs. Maybe in Dortmund, Naples, Istanbul, Athens or Buenos Aires...but even then. You obviously have no experience or idea of the magnitude or feeling being a Celtic supporter brings. You're not just a fan of a club, like every other football clubs' fans, you are a part of something much bigger, that runs much deeper. Celtic Park is almost spiritual and WILL bring grown men to tears, as if the ghosts of all the fans, mainly Irish ancestors or whoever loved Celtic, going back to the dawn of the club and the reason for it's foundation, are present and being channelled through the support. If you've never experienced it then it's impossible to explain. And how can you say that they don't get tested more than prem clubs? You could argue they get tested more than most English clubs as we test our level every year in Europe. That is certainly a rarity for the likes of Spurs. So your comment holds no gravitas really. I promise you if you ever got the chance to go to Celtic Park on a European night, especially against Barca, Real Madrid, Juventus, Milan or Inter, Man Utd, Liverpool, or anyone for that matter, then you may begin to understand. It's not called Paradise for nothing. HH 🍀
@Doc702Ай бұрын
Celtic still hold the record for the largest ever European attendance. 136, 500, and they were just the ones that were counted through the turnstiles. They could easily have had 200,000 fans if the stadium was big enough. If they got to the CL semi final again *granted, highly unlikely with UEFA club elitism, you could probably double that figure. They took around 100, 000 fans with them to Seville in 2003. Largest ever overseas travelling support for a club team. That should give you some context as to the size and connection of the fanbase to the club...and why Ange loves Celtic and it's 'People'...because he loves football not money clubs like Spurs. Money means nothing if you don't have passion.

I like big Ange and who knows he may come back to Celtic down the line but i think he's wrong criticising Tottenham fans for not wanting to help Arsenal win the league by beating City. He went way over the top and lost the plot imo. For example say he was managing Celtic and Celtic were playing Hearts who needed a draw last game of season to win the league over Rangers. I believe 99% of Celtic fans would quite happily not want to win that game and hand Rangers the league.

@@brianandrea3249 it was a slim chance of getting top 4. Tottenham needed to beat City which when they went behind was not going to happen. And Villa needed just a point last game v Palace as had +10 better goal difference. Palace had nothing to play for. The fans knew this.
