One of the top comments and how they describe each scene was too good for me to top so I’ll say all I can. This animatic was beautiful, truly amazing. The amazing art, the simplicity of some of the backgrounds, the fantastic timing and slight changes in some moments, the emotion in each characters face, the flashback scenes. The scene where eda was getting the sigil was amazing and I love the way eda and Steve were covered in darkness with the main focus being the centre of the screen where Raine stood. This was jaw dropping, the ending made me cry genuine tears. The way it ended with “I love you” and then “don’t make me say it again” as Raine presumably “dies” just makes it so much more sad, their relationship is so tragic and it makes me cry. You my friend are what we call evil for making us cry both tears of sadness and joy watching this, you are amazing and so evil at the same time. You have earned mine and many others full respect, keep on creating and have a great night. Edit: I also love how you interpreted the lyrics to fit with them, because the song just reminds me so much of how tragic they actually are. Each FRAME is so well thought out and I am in love, I love the way you’ve made this, seriously you are amazing. Wow. This is so beautifully well made. This made me realize how truly lonely Eda was before Luz came. Sure, Eda had King, but she separated herself from her family, friends, and her lover due to her curse and fear that she’d hurt them just like she did with her father. She truly is a tragic character, and that’s why she’s one of my favorite characters - if not THE #1 favorite of mine.

Probably won’t join the premier, but I’ll definitely watch after! I love TOH and these characters. Edit: Made it for the premier! This is amazing, but how dare you hurt me like this? Lol

Also you are an absolute genius for picking these scenes with this this song, and the lyrics- oh my goodness, the lyrics fit so well with these scenes!! 0:27 THIS SCENE, you can feel the distance between Raine with their back turned to the camera and their (physical) distance!! Even at 0:28 there’s still that feeling of (emotional) distance just by how their face isn’t visible. I love it! 0:32 “Steepest of hills” HILLS. HILL. THE MOMENT I HEARD THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME, I IMMEDIATELY KNEW HOW MUCH OF A GENIUS YOU WERE FOR CONNECTING THIS SONG WITH RAEDA. 0:35 This frame alone is sad, it’s sadder when you put it in the context of Raeda, IT’S EVEN SADDER WHEN YOU HEAR THE LYRICS WHEN THIS SCENE PLAYS. “You glare at yourself in the mirror”. The reflection in the mirror is the owl beast; curse kinda ruined Raine and Eda’s relationship when they were younger, INDIRECTLY causing the breakup. (Bonus: 1:12 I love how this scene was drawn. The eyebrow raise on both of their faces captures such Raeda energy!! I can’t explain it) 1:16 “Here is the thing you should cling to for a grin as you gather your strength” AND IT SHOWS HER KIDS AND RAINE. IT FITS SO WELL!! She doesn’t want them to be hurt and she doesn’t want them to be gone, they’re the light(s) of her life, she wants to stay strong to protect them, I’M SOBBING 1:24 “And you drag yourself out of the corner, this is the picture you paint. OKAY THIS ONE’S LONG. “You drag yourself out of the corner”, Eda, a wanted wild witch is finally getting a sigil, TECHNICALLY pulling her out of the wild witch category for the moment, DRAGGING HER OUT OF THE WILD WITCH STATUS. Plus, corners are usually darker parts of a room, and wild magic/wild witches are kinda frowned upon so it just fits even more when you think about it. “This is the picture you paint”, that PICTURE, THAT PROOF OF HER ‘DRAGGING HERSELF OUT OF THE CORNER’ IS THE SIGIL. I like to think that these next parts are sort of in Raine’s POV; 1:31 “You are good” Eda rebelled in the last game at IFWOT/HECK and spared Raine. Sure, Eda was the rebellious type, but still!! Friendship!! 1:32 “You are strong” Eda was the one who told Raine, “You can’t run from your fears forever” and partially inspired them to start the rebellion. She’s strong, she’s encouraging, SHE’S EVERYTHING AND I LOVE HER 1:33 “You are handsome” Eda!! Pretty!! What else can I say? 1:35 “Yes we all say to God, “What a gift”” Eda was an important part of the plan, she was willing to get a sigil and risk herself for this plan. Obviously, they are thankful for her. 1:43 “With that smile we so sorely missed”. That would probably be the last time Raine would see her smile, they weren’t even looking at HER, they were looking at Eda disguised as them. They miss her smile already. And with the way the frame flashed into a frame of Eda smiling, it’s almost as if Raine can only imagine what she would’ve looked like smiling like that if it weren’t for the disguise. 2:00 the handholding over the years!! I don’t have anything to say about the lyrics, but the drawings and transitions just fit so well, it’s gorgeous! I love how you drew Raine and Eda
