inspired by this raeda animatic by Belleski: • The Owl House - Never ... my brain latched onto this song and it wouldn’t let go, and it led to my first time finishing an animatic idea! yay

Isn't she canonically pretty muscular? She's shown working out more than any of the other characters and roller/flyer derby is not a sport for the spindly.

"A ship could never really love an anchor, so I did the only thing that I could and severed the ropes and set you sailing from my harbor". Whenever this ship takes this take, my heart breaks a bit. Hunter has an incredible amount of problems, and Willow has her own, but sometimes I feel like the life Hunter was handed IS his problem, so it'd be natural if he felt it's all him. That he's a burden and the best thing for people, Willow included, is to not be dragged down. That his life is a harbor and, if Willow comes close, he's just going to be an anchor.

For reference to anyone reading, Fool In Her Wedding Gown is the album name! The track with the title in is Shallow River. But all of the songs in it are amazing, so yeah - listen to it all. Personally my favourite Crane Wives song is either this (Never Love an Anchor), Tongues and Teeth, or New Colors.

WOOAAHH THIS IS SO GOOD For those who don’t know, I believe the meaning of the ship and anchor analogy is that the anchor is the one stuck at the bottom and can’t get better, while the ship is the one who’s stuck in place with them

i looove the texture and the colors. the off-white. used in the art of this it makes it feel like. warmer?? than if it were a more pure white idk how to describe it haha. and your artstyle!! the way you draw the faces is soo good and soft looking. also it's a little thing but i love all the extra scars you drew hunter with i feel like that kid would have so many :( but omg i love crane wives yess.

This was beautiful (I especially loved how Clover and Flapjack were snuggling in the beginning, not to mention the Teen Beach Movie reference 😂😂😂) Though forgive me, this song seems more of a absenteeparent/child song Maybe for Alador Edric, Emira, and Amity? Or Darius and Hunter? Gwendolyn and Lilith?

Love the song, love the ship, love the artstyle! I adore the way you draw Luz's hair as well! The Crane Wives is an amazing band an I hope you get into them some more as well! Another good angstier song by them is Tongues and Teeth. The Garden fits Huntlow pretty good as well.
