That said, given you've mentioned in this video that you'd like to become more accessible for all, there are many simple tweaks you could make to your content to make it more accessible to blind viewers like myself. I’m visually impaired, so I can see a little bit. I’m able to see my dreams. But I think people who are completely blind are able to feel and hear in their dreams. I have heard, in some cases, that blind people have visualized in their dreams.

I loved when she said pink is her favourite colour and the other lady said pink is her favourite too. It was such a short and simple statement but to me it felt like a really sweet sentiment. No matter what our differences are we are all so beautifully human. Two years ago my little sister went blind shortly after her eleventh birthday and the way she has taken it in stride and what she has done with herself makes me so incredibly proud. I'm going to show her this video and check out your music with her!

I have ADHD myself, and it also struck a chord when Precious mentioned that the disabled community is often not included in discussions surrounding diversity. I think this is partly because a lot of people don't recognise the incredible diversity within the community. Hopefully we are seeing a shift in society so that treating everybody with a disability with the same respect and kindness as you would towards people without disabilities becomes the prevalent mindset. There is so much intersectionality and variance in the community. Different personalities, needs, desires, skills and capabilities - just like everybody else on the planet!

It's so so important to learn about our realities, a lot of the time it isn't our disabilities that are the problem, it is how people treat us and the world that is not built for us. @@aleeshacampbell129 I wasn't born blind, but I am now. And I'd say the problem wouldn't be understanding objects, it would be understanding drawing. How a three dimensional shape can be represented as a two dimensional image. I think of a car, and I still have the image of a car in my brain, but mostlky I think of flat cold metal under my palm, the click of doorlocks, the way the edge of the car drops at the front and back, the smooth coldness of the outside. The feel of the handle as I pull it up, the hum or growl of an engine and the softer sound of tires. It's impossible to draw that impression of a car as a flat line drawing.

I know I do. I know people are watching me a lot, particularly because they are curious. I know they are watching because of how quickly they react to my actions, like if I am trying to find someothing, the offer of help is basically instant. So I know I am being watched a lot. Sometimes it is easy to forget, I have fewer problems with stage fright now, but a lot of the time, it is easy to feel watched and judged. Being visually impaired since birth. I can just about do everything a regular person can do, except drive. Which living in rural AL, and having to ask someone to drive me somewhere is a huge pain.

i think what she said about peoples looks is really interesting because it's so important for "seeing-people" in the datingscene and she just doesn't really know what it's about but still fell in love... maybe it's really not as important as we make it out to be

Looks was always important. Even cavewomen liked the most biggest/muscular men. And cavemen liked more actractive woman to them with bigger breasts or which could give birth to healthy kids, etc. Even in animal kingdom animals tend to search for most atractive partner they can find. We are the same. People are just smarter, but we are animals too.

I worked as a waitress for 6 years. there was a blind baseball team that had benefit dinners and I always worked their parties. so interesting! the ball whistles and they hear it get closer.. then are able to hit and catch the ball. such a fun group. they definitely dont let their disability get in the way. this one lady, cant remember her name, was drinking alcohol. she made the joke that she would let loose and drink a little extra because she isnt driving home anyways. cracked me up. 🤭

I have a very special place in my heart for disabled people and people who are just bullied in general and I honestly cannot fathom why people feel the need to do this... I get the whole concept that those who bullied are/were bullied themselves or are insecure and therefore take that out on others, but there is literally NO EXCUSE for treating anyone like that! It actually makes me physically ill when I hear or see it!

isnt it beautiful that a blind woman can see things like how to be a decent human, that most ppl with sight still havent figured out. whoever took her tray of food in middle school you were pathetic and hopefully a better person now.

I would be really curious to know how close a blind persons theory of what things look like is to reality. Part of me thinks that it should be pretty close because they can interact with the three dimensional objects by feeling them but who knows. I guess the only way to know is if someone was born blind and somehow obtained sight later in life then compared the two. It would be even more interesting if that person became a visual artist and then drew what they thought things looked like(I am speaking as a visual artist myself).

As a disabled person myself I was deaf but I am now mildly deaf so I can hear things to a high degree but sometimes it is hard to hear lower voices then higher voices and I need to turn volume up on my hearing aids for certain things. I am genuinely curious what it would be like if you were to dream as a blind person like would it be blackness with voices or how does that work??? Also I would be very curious about if someone was deaf and blind how they would manage through life because I feel like hearing and seeing are 2 of the most important senses especially when it comes to entertainment, movies, TV shows and radio. I get that you would still be able to touch things but Idk I am genuinely curious how it would work to be both blind and deaf.
