Whoa. That last part made me pretty teary eyed. I made some great friends playing pokemon when I was 12 and this made me very nostalgic. I'm 31 now and haven't played a video game since jr high. I just might go out and buy a Switch now.

These Games are a Shame and it's a shame people often dont even notice. Like this Hotel-Scene, where they tell you many times to get into the hotel. And again and again. Not only does thinking your Fans are all Little Kids show that you dont know your Audience but fact of the matter is, even LIttle Children dont need this like this Hotel-Scene-Nonsense!! 6-Years old are actively stopping in their track, playing though these scenes and wondering by themselves what Gamefreak is doing. Literally. Gamefreak embarasses itself again and again and many Fans still defend this. Fans not understanding those Games are literal Trash is literally a Problem causing those games to be worse than they can be. That's Cause and Effect, people. Cause and Effect. Fans mindlessly and delusional defending the new Games are part of the problem - this is an objective fact if you know Cause and Effect.

@@greenkidd529 He's made himself clear that he's not going to apologise just for his opinions. He wants to convey an honest review and he felt he was too negative. Not all negativity is honest and not all positivity is in vain. He chose to play Pokémon for 10 hours a day instead of making a Death Stranding review like he said he wanted to, and I doubt his opinion on that is too positive either.

I’m really excited about getting Pokémon sword this week:)! It looks so good and yes there’s a few things people can’t overlook but I’ve also been a fan of Pokémon for a long time now and I always fall in love with their games☺️ the new Pokémon’s in this game look so adorable and when I get my hands on the game I know I’ll become addicted too lol can’t wait!

Lunar Rhythm Masuda method Ive gotten three shinies in the past few days an snagging a foreign mon isnt to hard. I did the exact same thing as you with Zigzagoon gave up because I was 50 hours into the game and was like yeah naw. Got a dreepy in 175, a Feebas in 200, a Milcery which suprised me at like 10. Its so much better than the stupid Genocide method. Which I have gotten a shiny from, Rookidee at 759.

Yeah i actually have a JPN ditto that i got day 2 with a neat sequence where someone on Reddit gave me pokerus. Then someone in JPN from FB gave me two dittos and i was able to give one to original pokerus guy. Anyway i just feel like I'm in too deep to move forward. Also I truly hate this and feel bad for all the lil Naruto bois that must die in my horrendous wake.

Right? I know it's not perfect (no game is, Red/Blue/Yellow are far buggier and much more loved, I know technology advances but technology is still technology, and they do have the option to make updates) but, I personally think the graphics look beautiful (there's just a few glitchy animations ) and I absolutely loved many characters, the immersion feel, and the new Pokemon. Sure, it's sad to see Pokemon cut, but at the same time, 400 is...a lot of Pokemon. Really it was bound to happen sooner or later. Completing a dex of around 1,000 sounds hard for the casual gamer. I had a lot of fun with the game. While I miss some Pokemon in this game, it's not like I can have Galar Pokemon in other games. I got rather attached to Zacian, my Yamper (now Boltund), and more. Also, dark type gym leader.....Piers is awesome. As someone who likes metal, that gym was a lot of fun.

@@MidnightWhisper For me, it's not as much about the dexit its the stagnation. I'm not trying to be negative about you loving the game, all the power to you, I just feel like the positives are the just in the fact that it's "Pokemon". I've played pokemon since I was 7 and have played every game before diamond (my first game) to after. The love, the trading, the cool/cute "animals" are all in the fact that it is pokemon. It just feels like they've done the bare minimum to make the game truly spectacular when they have a better system and a home console at their disposal. Little content, not innovation, no change. It's a game that's on the best system Nintendo has and it is somehow less memorable or replayable than the earlier games from before BW2.

Thanks beatemups! Was burned out on shield (even bought sword on the same switch thinking I could trade between them I was so into it). Watching this video has inspired me to complete the Pokédex and start shiny hunting! This will be my first ever Pokédex complete (if I can finish it), I’ve been playing since red and blue). I love this video. I am 64, and I have played all 8 generations of the games. I find most of the things you describe here addictive as well. Thank you for your videos. I do have a question. Have you found an explanation for your online issues yet. I think I have the same problems...at least I get no one joining me for raids, but I also get almost no one able to link trade me as well. I would love to find a solution to this.

So I found details on my issue. I was using my phone's hotspot. While it worked fine for 3ds, the switch games only partly worked. When testing the connection, my phone provider assigned the hotspot a type D NAT Type. Only A and B NAT types work, When I moved to a router hotspot, the NAT Type changed to A or B. At that point raids, link trades, etc worked quickly.

Larry it is nice to see another man playing I am 48 and I thought I was a loner man this old playing pokemon this feels good knowing I am not the only man this old playing pokemon. The story really feels like a shackle! Yes, thank you! I actually gave up on Ultra Sun because the story was too much! And I'm still going through the story, so every time I get to a place I brace myself for the iinevitable encounter of the story. 🤣 I don't like the raid feature though, or the expansion pass that it keeps offering to me. I just want to play offline old school style.

Trading is good because if you get a trade with a player who’s playing the opposite game type then you ( sword and shield ) you can get Pokemon that are exclusive to them, there’s about 30-40 for each one and two of the gyms are different in the games

@Babbit @cashbag2012 yeah if you make curry then all your party pokemon (I haven’t tested if it heals your pc Pokémon too) get their HP restored and status conditions healed (I’m also not sure if it restores PP)

3:24 Oh wow I have a Leafeon on my A team too! I just took being able to get one right before the first gym a sign that this was the best game to use one and he's a very valuable member being my favorite grass type in the game. I just beat the third gym and honestly, I love the entire game. I am actually really enjoying the main game, this was the first time I played Pokemon since Leafgreen so I appreciated the refreshers. But the Wild Area elevates this to my favorite of the 4 Pokemon mainline games I have played (the other 2 are gold and Brilliant Diamond). I'm not even 25 hours in and have filled out over 100 Pokedex entries.

Pokémon sun and moon is actually one of my favourite stories in the series. The hardest stories to grind through for me are Ruby and Saphire (especially in the endgame), Diamond and Pearl and Black and White 2

Bro the odds thing is so weird. I was doing a Dusk Lycanroc solo run in Uktra Sun, and then I got a shiny Beldum. 1 in 4096. Then, 60 hours of gameplay later, I got a shiny Chansey while leveling up my pokemon (This was Sos chain, so around 1/300. I chained for about 30 min), and now I’ve spent more than 40 HOURS HUNTING FOR A ZORUA. STILL HAVEN’T GOTTEN IT. I’VE GOT A CHAIN OF 1200.

I haven’t completely finished the story yet, but I kind of like how the older trainers are trying to actually take care of things themselves so the new 10-year-old trainers can have as much fun on their journey as possible, rather than asking for your help with stuff all the time. It’s not perfect, but I do like that part about it.

Oh, idunno, maybe the godamn whole introduction of the game and following cutscenes about the Gym Challenge and Champion Leon extending his invitation for trainers to challenge him? Like every cutscene with other gym challengers and gym leaders with their own goals for once? The hidden history of Galar, the origin of the Darkest Day and Dynamax? The continuation of the story as to how the history was hidden? I mean, its okay to say that there are too many godamned cutscenes and that they are boring etc, but saying theres no story until the last minute implies that you're not even paying attention to the damn game you are playing somehow????

Search is why I didn't sort by type, but rather by number. Also that way, when I finish the dex I can scroll through and see them all in order which pleases me.

Would you really consider it a change of thought? We all have games we are endeared to. One of my favorite games, I personally rate a 5/10, but I still love it. Doesn't mean it doesn't have glaring flaws, but subjectively, it just hit me right. People just have to understand that an honest review does not necessarily align with your preferences.

It's been getting better. When I first started playing only one time did I ever have one person join my raid and then nothing after that for a long time. However all of a sudden I've noticed more andm ore people joining. Lately I've gotten all 3 people three times so far during total gameplay which is a big milestone compared to what it was. I've also seen new smarter online features pop-up for an uber brief time that simplified things leading me to believe they are indeed working on it. One time I even saw a message when trying to join a raid, "This raid has already closed, let's go ahead and refresh your stamps" which was a lifesaver although it seems they removed it the next day so, oh well lol. But I feel like things are very, very, slowly improving and that they are working on some of hte online issues.

Use a pokemon with the flame body ability in the first slot of your team to hatch eggs faster. Also, ride around on your bike(instead of walking) because it speeds up your step count for hatching eggs.

"They're so stale in battle." *BOY HAVE YOU NOT SEEN PYRO BALL?!* some battle animations are so good. Also the new animation for Hyper Beam LEGIT had me tense up the first time I watched it happen like THAT felt like a HYPER BEAM _straight_ from the anime; full of absolute POWER and something you should fear. It's a bit frustrating cause gamefreak you're so close man. Right there. Also what a nice story....that's the essence of Pokemon....I made a lot of my friends through Pokemon. There's something for everyone.

Can you explain umbreon and espeon (however it's spelled)? I know the whole "max friendship" and evolve at day/night thing, but still don't get how to trigger the actual evolution (What level?) Or how to check when friendship is maxed...

@@zachangell3021 feed them curry to max friendship and if it's overcast/ thunderstorms in wild area then it probably counts as night, I'm not 100% sure about the night features but I maxed my team's friendship this way by feeding curry to level guys up with exp and reviving my pokemon and fully healing their status effects this way
