My 1st day back at the cabin in almost 2 months and I'm surprised at what I find.

So glad to see you back!! I wanted to say your videos was all my husband wanted to watch, he could hardly wait until you posted a new one so we wouldn’t have to keep watching reruns lol. He passed away the week of Christmas this pass December. Thank you so much for all the joy you brought into his life.

Nice video. My Father live and died in Tucson AZ., but he roamed around in his retirement on a Class A, pulling a Tracter, for 20 years before it was popular. He loved life on the road. RIP in peace my beloved Father. ❤

That is so awesome that you made it down into Louisiana and Fountainbleu State Park! Although living elsewhere now, I lived a large part of my life in Louisiana..I hope you took the opportunity to try some of the great Creole / Cajun food served down there! Better watch Kali around lakes and ponds in Louisiana...not like her splashing at water's edge in Canada. You'd be surprised the size of Gator hidden at waters edge that seems like shallow water. They'll snatch a dog in a second! Glad you an the Missus had a great time.

If I had a cabin like that I would never leave it, but it's only me now and no one else to keep happy. Plus I would never have the money, but it sounds like your family has the money and not really full-timers, so that makes a big difference. It's sad, but many people I know who watch videos like this think that the KZfaqr is a real full-time off-grid guy, but most of the time they are not and this is why many start this lifestyle and then fail to survive.

SHAWN & OUR CALI Glad to see you at the CABIN !!! I got up this morning and was thinking of you all !!! Put on the Sweat Shirt of The old cabin & OUR CALI on it Love to wear it a lot !!! Miss the cabins that I build a lot and son's cabin that he sold in Wisconsin !!! To hear you went through Illinois that Made me wonder how close we could have been to one another !!! OUR CALI could have run & jumped outside in the land I own now !!! Shawn you got more snow then we do here in Illinois !!! Glad you got it !!! You will be needing it for this summer months !!! I love that y'all went to Fontainebleau State Park when you were here. We go there often with the dog and hit the trails, lots of deer. If I would have seen you there that would have been awesome. Looked like a great trip.

Sounds like a really great trip! I have lived in most of those states you have traveled through and currently live in one that you did. You are correct when you say there’s some amazing country out there. If I had to pick one or two I think Utah is up at the top of the list because of the Wasatch mountains, and the desert southwest in the Moab area, where I lived as a child. Stunning country everywhere! Happy to see you all back at the cabin!

Greetings Shawn - Glad to hear you spent a good portion of your vacation in Arizona. I live in Southern Arizona and moved here at the age of 56 after living my life in the NW (Oregon/Washington). My wife and I love it here in the desert and have really grown to appreciate the beauty and uniqueness of this environment. Hope you will come back to Arizona in the future.
