The more time goes on, the more frustrated I become with Adobe, and I'm sure many people can relate.
At some point I decided I'm gonna take matters into my own hands and started working on a little project, that I'm gonna talk more about in the coming weeks.
Massive shoutout to my awesome friends who helped make this video, it wouldn't be anywhere near as good without them.

I support this, and I hope you finish the product soon. I am sick of Adobe holding every photographer hostage when the tools are mostly outdated anyways, we need a true Lightroom killer. Good luck in your venture!

VERY well done video! Love the drone footage, the editing, storytelling...honestly the dev creator space absolutely can benefit from more intentional and educated cinematography. You're setting the bar high here but I think it's alright that we have tech YTers from across the spectrum. While devs w/ extensive videography backgrounds are more rare I'm excited to see the ways you contribute to the space, all while building a tool that is sorely needed. Looking forward to more!

Beta in fall, first release hopefully by the end of the year I'm working on a huge update video right now, but in short - I'm developing it in 2 separate parts right now - the UI, with all the collection stuff, search, etc, and the editing "engine", which is currently separate from the main app As of last weekend, the editing engine has 1:1 feature parity with Lightroom, which was the validation milestone I'll talk more about all of it in the upcoming video 🙏🏻

Great video - excellent production. I used to hate Lightroom and Adobe, but recently after they added their new AI masks for select subject, sky, person, object, I am back in love with Lightroom. But would be interested to know why you don't like it, apart from the subscription pricing model. What are you hoping to deliver that Lightroom doesn't?

The funny thing is, Luminar (which I also have issues with and made a whole video about a few years ago), had those AI auto selection tools for at least 2 years before the gazillion dollar company I'm working on the next video in this series now that answers a lot of "why" question, but here's a teaser related to masking - Aperture was able to do brush-in on *any* filter 13 goddamn years ago and no popular editing software is able to do it today for some reason Also LrC still doesn't have the "show me edited ones" checkbox even though the upscaled mobile one does? Stay tuned, but there's very little in Lightroom that I don't find unacceptable at this point 🙈

@@MaxRovensky yes but, in my experience, they didn’t work very well. Adobe seems to have nailed accuracy in most situations. I’m not a lover of big companies and love to see the underdog startups win. The best thing going on right now is competition which is spurring some great innovation. I hope you’re wildly successful!
