A brief moment of non-real estate related content! My love proposed to me on our 5 year anniversary! Here’s my summary of the day!
💍👰♀️🤵♂️ 💫✨🌈💓
We’re doing the thing! 🤯
It was our 5th anniversary and we have a yearly tradition to hike Tumbledown. I was so excited for the day, as I haven’t had a day off in many months. We packed a lunch, hiked to our favorite peak, and swam in the lake at the top like we always do. Clayton was insistent on bringing all of his camera equipment and drone, and even though I felt judgmental about it (“You really wanna carry ALL of that stuff all the way up the mountain?!”) I wanted to support his love for photography, so up it all went. Around 5pm when it felt like we were wrapping up, Clayton said he wanted to pull out his drone for some final shots. I sat patiently on a ledge overlooking the most beautiful view, and remarked to myself how special it was that we were the ONLY people on the mountain. After waiting about 40 minutes (and making sure Clayton acknowledged how “patient” I was being 🤣), I got really persistent and said I wanted to start hiking back down. I wanted to get home at a reasonable time to watch the rest of Stranger Things and eat our leftovers from Taj, our favorite Indian restaurant. 🧡🤤 Clayton agreed to leave but said he wanted to try “just one more thing”. He said he could set the drone up to auto fly to us without having to control it. I was confused as to why he’d need this feature, but agreed to take part in his experiment. I stood at the top of the ledge holding a huge heart rock I had just found (how serendipitous!) and he put the drone remote on the ground, and told me the drone was headed our way. I then felt him tap on my shoulder, and I turned around and was completely shocked to find him down on one knee. Not only did Clayton propose to me on top of a mountain with only the birds and other wildlife as our witnesses, but he also managed to secretly record the entire thing. 🤯🔥😭
There was a lot of crying on my part, it was pretty hard to hike back down the mountain when my visibility was blurred 😬😆, but the most difficult part for me was that I had NO service so I couldn’t tell anyone til we got back to town. 🤬🤣
So I guess here is our announcement. I love this man with my whole heart and now I’m going to marry him! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
