Hello Darlings,
I am back after a very, VERY long break! I'm so sorry that I haven't been posting over the last 2 months. University has been really full on with it being our last year of nursing studies/placements!
And the biggest news of all is obviously, I'M ENGAGED!!!!
Thank you all for being such patient beautiful people, and I appreciate all the sweet messages checking in on me! I love you all so much!! xx

SMOOTHER, LIGHTER PANCAKES
Quick - easy - with Ideal Milk
Ingredients:
113g flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
12 oz (340ml) tin Ideal Milk (aka evaporated milk)
Lemon juice
Sugar
Method:
Sift flour and salt into bowl. Make a well in centre, add egg, mix well.
Add 1/2 Ideal Milk, beat for 5 minutes; gradually stir in rest of Ideal.
Melt fat in frying pan, pour in batter.
Toss of turn when cooked. Sprinkle with castor sugar, lemon juice; roll up, serve with golden syrup. (I quite enjoy maple syrup!)

@@Doublecrossedx3, because I, personally, feel a) It is sad that so many people these days want only new, mass-produced decorations (most of which are, frankly, poorly made) in their home. b) I think coziness is awesome. c) there are so many old things that are perfectly useful but just lack a good home. d) grandmothers are underappreciated these days - "that's looks like a grandma would own it" is an insult. Poor grandmas! (Someone will say exactly the same thing about everything we own today one day.) I find Sage's attitude refreshing.

Congratulations Sage! That's such a sweet story. As a nurse myself (going on ten years now) I remember how draining placements and assessments were, so being away from youtube makes sense. I would love to see a wedding series. It can be so stressful to plan a wedding, though, so please make sure you look after yourselves!

Definitely a wedding series. I'm way past the wedding stage, but still love a good wedding. I went with my daughter-in-law to be and her mother last weekend to go wedding dress shopping. I just wanted to say, congratulations because you brighten up my day. I never usually watch lifestyle KZfaq videos because they always come across as so fake and artificial and 'perfect'. I love that you are not afraid to be silly, that you leave mess-ups in like the cloth falling on your face on the kitchen renovation video. 😅 You (and james) just come across as some just living their best life how they want it. Nothing brought this home more than the proposal not going to plan but still being perfect in its own way. Your videos are a constant reminder to me that life is beautiful even if its not perfect. He planned and executed everything just perfectly and in a very fitting slightly oldfashioned but never out-of-fashion manner. He asked your Dad for your hand in marriage, he bought a beautiful engagement ring after having put a lot of thought into what his future wife might like and what could possibly fit to her style and persona. Then he planned a camping trip and had even a sunset scenario in mind. What a man, Sage, never let him go.

I'm so happy that I found your channel. I just LOVE your sunny yellow chicken coop. It's so cheery and fun. We just finished building a new coop for our 6 girls. I just love chickens. One area I wished I was better at was planning my garden space. I'd love to have a "planned" garden - like a true Irish/English cottage garden with lots of flowers and stuff. Maybe one day. Such a great heartwarming engagement story. I'm so happy for you both. My engagement ring isn't vintage but has white gold around my diamonds with a gold band. I just love that look. Your ring is so gorgeous.

Put a sideboard along the back of your couch for the printer and such. A nice plant or two on top of that and you have room definition for living and dining areas. Congratulations can't wait for all the period wedding fun!

Congratulations!! So happy for you♥!! Your ring reminds me of my Nanny's ring! I always loved her set, the band had the same white gold on top to maximize the diamond size. I wish I'd been able to get it when she passed away. She wore them every day for over 70 years. I never saw her take them off, not even once (that I can remember). So special!
