True. I think Riot has perma PTSD after their item rework made tanks (of all the classes in the game!) absolutely crush everyone so we are gonna be waiting a heck of a long time before tanks get any love from Riot after they handled bami's cinder and sunfire aegis so badly

Plus the items give no resistances and so even the hp scaling tanks like cho'gath and sion get shredded by %hp damage dealers a.k.a literally every new champion in the game. Full armour malphite gets shredded even by full ad comps thanks to items.

They're barely functionally tankier than bruisers. And only useful if they have obscene damage (like Tahm Kench), not counting supports.

Tahm is key example of why tank meta is probably not a good thing, its just unskilled. Champions like Malphite, Tahm, Maokai etc. being strong picks basically just means that the top of Solo Q ladder of toplaners are not those with the most skill, but those willing to grind the most games.

Whats not to love about full build cho'gath with 10+ stacks and tenacity pot pressing stoneplate and absorbing every single bit of damage for the team lol. Sure its uninteractive but its funny

He goes tank sion into certain match ups. Keep in mind these are *very* specific match ups i.e. poppy or shen which u arent gonna see a lot at his elo since lethality isnt gonna be as good as fully stacked sunfire in a 1v1 which btw deals damage based of total hp and sion is literally the alpha tank except for cho'gath in terms of hp pool

Indeed, and in 90% of the match ups the tank would be better, but he goes tank only in unwinnable match ups for the lethality

@@tonilaseng4620 that does not have any impact on what i said. because the claims he is making based on select data is off because the actual data requires you to look at other lanes...for example adcs complaining about having to play against cass or vlad or yasuo. mid laners complaining about playing against varus or lucian, the game is poorly made so it is inevitable that broken champs move around the map ruining the already bad game for other lanes
