It actually makes sense. Since if someone gets chunked down instantly noone is gonna group with them cuz you arent gonna be able to get there in time anyways. But with hullbreaker you will stay alive and then your team will see you in a 2v1 or whatever and will be coming to assist you.

It gives more damage based on the % difference of HP, if you are full HP it is completely useless, so ranged ADCs wont really get any benefit, a character like sett, aatrox, and trynda, and even sion who like edging their HP bars will benefit the most. Also, like i said i believe its % based, so if a sion has a max hp of 5k and is currently at 2k he will deal more damage to an adc that has a max hp of 2k and is currently at 1800.

Because of how team-based matchmaking rating systems work (in all games, not just LOL), if you are average at the game then your Elo/MMR is just a function of how many games you played, not how good you are. All you have to do is break out of 50th percentile with placements and then coin flip your way through 700-800 games and you'll be Master tier. If you're slightly lucky or actually impact some of your games, you'll get low GM by season's end. This has nothing to do with league, it's just a math function of win rate when your impact is dissipated in a team game because you are only 20% of your team. This is why they call getting to high MMR "the grind". It's because if you can break out of Gold, you can literally grind the rest of the way by hitting the play now button a thousand times as long as you aren't afk in your games. The gap comes between barely-GM players and 1k+ LP players. The skill difference there is absolutely gigantic. The skill difference between high gold and low diamond is mostly basic macro awareness, because of how important macro is.
